Frost was at a loss. she knew not where to begin. She had a few remaining artifacts to trade for currency but the statue that helped her find Fluttershy's note is one she no longer will part with. she thought to herself, "WOW I never thought I would see such a wonder. Mom would have been amaized at the shear size of this place." despite her internal thinking it was clearly visible by the wing-boner she had that she was impressed. If a male saw her they would think she was either A. in heat and showing off or B. An outsider from, either a smaller city or from a place not known to them. Her look and cutie mark alone gave her away as a surface dweller. Frost decides she needed money first and goes to the merchant district to sell some of the artifacts she has. {List of Artifacts For Sale} 1. A meant condition cloudsteel Wonderbolt statue (table size.) 2. A book labled the elements of harmony a reference guide. (ment condition and complete includes the tale of nightmare moon.) 3. a complete meant condition collection of all daring doo books. 4. A set of full canterlot royal guard armor (Universal) 5. 3 royal and 3 lunar guard sentry spears (Universal) 6. A set of full canterlot Lunar guard armor (Universal) 7. A complete flight training Manuel set including a Rainbow Dash's guide to becoming a Wonderbolt. 8. A complete Wonderbolt Aerial Stunt Guide set. 9. 20 bars of cloudsteel. 10. several unfinished cloudsteel items.

Aldorn walks through the street filled with forges and smith shops. He was impressed by the size of the city but is annoyed by the fact that the ponies aren't preparing for the return to the surface. They are all too relaxed here. This place will be poison to them once the land has returned back to the warmth of the Sun. Aldorn stops at a smith shop and enters. He looks at the blacksmith. "Hello. I am a travelling blacksmith and I'm wondering where I can find a forge to use. Only once I will use."

Asterian laughed a little as he watched the cellist desperately balance on the beam. "Do not look down; it will confuse your senses and ruin your balance. Look up to the crystals. Just let go of fear..."
Starfall held onto Octavia closely, knowing she needed that secure feeling of sturdiness. "One thing that helped me starting out was to picture the ground to be an ocean. If you believe there is no danger, it greatly affects the mind on a fundamental level and makes it easier to focus... then, when you know you're ready..." He looked deeply into Octavia's mulberry eyes, watching as he picked her up and carried her back to the tower interior.

Frost found that, due to the rarity of some of her items, she could very rapidly get very rich if she was willing to barter a bit and use one of the auction houses to sell. The Daring Doo complete collection, if signed and original, could go for 4000B, and the antique suits of armor for 6000B or more, depending on quality and condition and rank. The Wonderbolt items might go for anywhere from 50B to 30000B, depending on how rare they actually were, whether they were autographed, and whether they were a limited edition version or not. The cloudsteel went for substantially cheaper, considering that there was a working civilization down here that manufactured the stuff on a daily basis, perhaps 50 red cents per pound if she was desperate, perhaps a bit more if she bartered.
The blacksmith turned to the newcomer, wiping his hooves and face on a rag. "A forge? I could let you use one of the spares for 40 bits per hour, if you want. The Gildasons across the street might let you borrow a forge for 30, and if you're really desperate old Bowser down by Ironmonger Alley could lend you the use of his forge for 25 on the hour. Tools will be extra, though."
The mare took some time to calm down to steady breaths, but once she locked eyes with Asterian, she knew everything was going to be all right. She got up a little while after he set her down, blushing a little, but not regretting the experience in the least as she smiled softly.
"Thank you, Asterian."

Aldorn bows in gratitude. He takes off his pack and opens it up. He searches through his bag until he pulls out a large pouch. He sets the pouch on the group and opened it up. He takes out 120 bits. He gives it to the blacksmith and closes the bit pouch. He puts away the pouch into the bag and carries the bag once more. "I thank you for lending me your forge. It will take me 3 hours to complete my task, anything more would be a waste of my talent as a Master Blacksmith. I will begin my work at once." Aldorn hurries into the forge to begin his work, using his friend's notes to create a reversed engineered heater, a cooling unit.

Asterian laughed once more as he leapt to the beam, then off the tower for the second time that day. Falling... Falling...
(( You can decide his fate here. ))

Frost goes up to one of the auction ponies, not holding the auction, and asks, "Where would I check in a few items to be put up for auction? I have some old pieces some might be interested in from the outer world." Frost pulls out the wonderbolt books as a show of what she has.
Upon inspection of the books, they are: A. Meant condition (almost new) The year they were printed was nearly 50 years before the start of the cold that made most of the surface world a frozen wasteland. B. Signed by their respective Arthurs or Wonderbolts. C. There is only maybe two or three known sets of them in the world. (meaning very rare and hard to come by.)
She also shows the pony the wonderbolt statue. Signed, at its base and with a plaque, by, the E.O.H. loyalty and Wonderbolt, Rainbow Dash. Meant Condition. It is made entirely of the rare Skysteel(highly refined Cloudsteel) material. The plaque reads, "I will never leave my friends hanging. I will always be there when they need me most." The plaque also contains the full Wonderbolts oath.
Frost waits for a response from the auction pony. ((Cloudsteel and Skysteel can be colored to match the colors needed to make the statue look like a miniature version of the one depicted.))

The blacksmith looked at Aldorn strangely as he saw the cooling unit taking shape, but said nothing and left the pony to his work. If the pony wanted something as idiotic as a machine that brought coldness, that was his own problem.
The forge was actually very high-quality, considering that all the others he had ever encountered aside from his own had been thrown together from junk pieces or worn to near-unusability by the ravages of time and the weather. This one was manufactured and quality-tested here in one of the last known cities on the face of Equestria, and a joy to use, especially with the precise temperature controls and such.
The auction pony's eyebrows shot up as he looked over the items. "...Impressive! Quite impressive, quite impressive indeed. These are quite valuable items you have here, unique and greatly desired on the market. The House charges a 10 percent profit fee, and a 13-bit posting fee, refundable if the auction does not take, which I doubt would be the case with these items. You see that griffon with the blue jacket? She'll have the requisite forms you'll need to fill out, guarantees that you actually own the item, statements of responsibility in case of liabilities, the usual. After that you will be given a number, and you'll know when your item is on the block when your number is called. You can request a starting price, which I suggest you make lower than you expect first, to allow the bidding to take hold and be able to rise. If you have any questions about the process, or would like to purchase an insurance plan in case of dishonest trading, simply ask me. My name is Golden Coins, by the way."
Octavia gasped, rushing forward to the edge.
"ASTERIAN!" she screamed, then blinked in shock and utter disbelief as the pony smoothly went through a series of impossible-seeming acrobatic moves, landing silently in a pile of hay and rebounding easily before RUNNING UP A WALL and LEAPING onto a nearby rooftop.
Her mouth hung open, her mind trying to process what she'd just seen.

Asterian looked up to his marefriend with a triumphant grin. "Stop doubting and believe, and you will be capable of many things, Octavia!" He watched Octavia, knowing that she would be capable of doing exactly what he did, if only she would cease to fear.

Aldorn worked hard into creating the cooling unit until the 3 hours are up. Aldorn finished the cooler using the notes his late friend has given him in the case that he was to meet an elemental, particularly an ice elemental. He attaches 3 parts of the cooling unit together and tested it out. He detaches the heating unit and attaches the cooling unit to his gear. He switches the cooler on and the cooler only seemed to repel the heat while providing very little coldness. It's like a slight cool breeze in the wind. It's a work in progress but I must know if it can absorb the coldness like that of the heater and disperse it into the surrounding area like that of a heater. Right now, it can only provide little coldness while repelling whatever heat there is. I hope not much of improvement is needed to be made. I wish not to doubt my late friend's wishes and research.
Aldorn puts away the cooling unit into his pack and attaches the heater onto his gear. He walks out of the forge. "I thank you for the forge. I have completed what is needed to be done and finished what time I had spent. I wish you well, and hope this world won't poison your mind for the changes to come." Aldorn then leaves the shop and into the street.

The grey mare stammered, swallowed, and blinked. Do that? Her? She could feel her heart beating, but refused to hyperventilate. This was no time to be nervous! She took deep, steady breaths as she carefully walked out onto the plank, not looking down, driving out even the thought of looking down, the idea that there even was a 'down'. She closed her eyes, feeling her mane waving gently in the wind.
An eagle screeched.
She was falling, falling, rushing through the wind with an icy clarity in her mind as she looked emotionlessly down at her target, the pile of hay where Asterian had landed earlier.
Twist.
Bend.
Thrust.
Then she was flying upwards, and some tiny part of her mind was screaming, horrified at the situation, but Octavia wasn't listening to that part of her mind. Up was sideways, sideways was down and forwards.
A rapid staccato of galloping hoofsteps, and she felt her hooves about to lose contact with the wall as gravity took control again. One last, precise thrust, like a fortissimo on a pianoforte, and her body was arcing through the air, the rooftop directly in her line of sight.
A breath, in and out.
Then she was rolling, rolling, distributing the force of her landing along her back and sides, and some part of her was frozen in shock and disbelief in what she had just done, to which the rest of her mind responded, trust Asterian.
Then she was upright again, standing next to the love of her life, looking out over the rooftops of Orod Khazad, letting her mane wave in the breeze of her passing.
It took about thirty seconds for the sheer ridiculousness of her situation to hit her.
"I-i-i-i d-d-did I j-just... wh-... I-...." she gasped, trembling. Her knees were shaking, all four of them, and she leaned faintly on the strong stallion next to her, as if trying to make sure she was still awake and not dreaming.
The griffon's eyebrows went up almost all the way to the top of her head as she surveyed the items, but she nodded and gave the pony a few ticket stubs, one for each of her items, and a receipt for the whole batch.
As she took her seat in the crowd, the stag next to her grinned. "That's quite a collection you gave over there. New from the Outside? You're a lucky mare. Haven't seen those sorts of items up for sale since, oh, must have been since before my fawn was born."
The shopkeeper nodded and bade the stallion good day on his way out, though he furrowed his brows in confusion at Aldorn's parting words.
"Change? Change for the better, I hope. I can't imagine what sort of change would be good upstairs, if you know what I mean, but good luck to you as well. Feel free to come back anytime if you have need again, I never raise my rates without prior notice. Good day to you!"

After hearing the Stag speak, Frost chuckles and says, " I have lived up there for many a season, before and after this cold came. I hail from a town called Talos. What is there is most what I have collected in my travels, trying to find the answers to the mystery surrounding the upper world. Only once has a clue shown itself and now I know where next to go. hopefully I can find the next clue. Even if it takes another three years to find, as this last one had. So would you say besides what I have put up is there anything of value that I would find of interest?" Frost waits for the bidding to begin, while gathering a small bit of info about what would be up for auction as well besides her stuff.

The young master of Élire held onto his friend, steadying her best he could. He was proud of her for her achievements, and he could not have been more attracted to her in that moment. As he looked down to the mare's shaking legs, he explained, "It was like that for me the first time as well, and it took me much longer, but you did it, Tavi." He began to use his old nickname for her. He sat himself and her down on the rooftop, gazing over the endless city plaza. "This is why I love you. You're not afraid to face Death itself and laugh. Now we both know it." He looked into Octavia's eyes once more that day before kissing her briefly on the lips.
After wards, he smiled up at the ceiling of the cave and pondered the world as it once was.

Aldorn walks out of the street and goes to search for Frost. He took mental note of the forge he worked on, with a disapproving look. Too well furnished. Felt nothing like a true blacksmith's forge. But no matter, I now have a clue on how to protect the elementals of ice from the heat, and hopefully that clue would turn into the answer I hope for.
