As the temperature plumeted andThe little blue mare didn't pay any attention to her surroundings at the moment. As the temperature plummeted and snow started to drop from the cloud Blue was nearly done with her drawing. What began as random lines heading from nowhere to nowhere actually started to from a pretty picture. Alas, the snow soaked her paper, smearing the ink all over it and destroying her work. "Oh, come on!" she called out in frustration and finaly noticed the snow cloud. She quickly closed her saddlebag and lifted it from the floor, which the melting snow slowly flooded. Channeling her magic she created a shield bubble around herself and Asterian, who was sitting next to her. The shield could protect them from the snow and the water, but not the temperature such a cloud brings with it. Reacting to the cold Blues body started to shiver.

North Wind dispersed the cloud as quickly as it came and then proceeded to repair everyone's supplies.

Bane looks at the North Wind. "Please control your magic. If you can't do so, use the old fashion way and pick them up by hoof or mouth. I don't want anymore disruptions like that, it would upset every pony here, even yourself." Bane takes the small cube and opens it up. He pulls out a medium-sized sphere and places it on the ground. He mutters a single word, incomprehensible to anypony who hears it. The sphere reacts to the word unfurls itself into a mechanical pony, while it was enlarging itself. It looks at Bane and he nods. The mechanical pony approaches the Blue and looks at the accidental mess. A goldish aura is now seen around the pony and it casted magic on Blue's materials, undoing the damage done to it. The mechanical pony comes back to the front of class and furls itself into a sphere. Bane picks it up and puts it in the cube.

"Um... T-Thank you." the young student whispered in gratitude. She observed the mechanical pony with wide eyes, very interested on its aesthetics and function. She gave the previously soaked paper a quick look so see her drawing intact, but her interest swayed away from it rather quickly. "Wow... cant wait until the class starts!" she pronounced loudly and excitedly, after which she held her mouth and blushed. "Sorry." she giggled, feeling a bit embarrassed by her reaction.

"Sorry about that. I have a magical disorder that causes me to cast that spell on occasion instead of the one I want, and I live in Cloudsdale, where they don't sell magic inhibitors because I'm one of the only two Unicorns to live there."

"Well, I don't know much on magic inhibitors, but maybe you should ask the secretary about that. Class will be starting now." A small spider-like drone jumps up to my desk and grabs a stack of papers. Bane looks at it. "Would you please hand these syllabus out?" It nods and proceeds into giving the students their papers. While it does so, Bane grabs the disk on his desk and whispers a word to it. "Veli." The disk starts to glow and Bane sets it on the floor. The disk turns into a large circular machine and starts displaying what looks like a projection right above it. "Veso." The machine reacts to it and it starts to project a mysterious world, unknown to all but the Ancients. "As of right now, we will be learning Ancient Magic. To do so, we will have to understand it first, by learning its history and how it came to be right now, or at least to those who knows of this magic."

Blue observes the projection "Oh, wasn't magic a gift of "gods"?" she asked. "Well, not actual gods, but beings so far above our ancestors they might as well be gods." She rubbed her chin and wondered. She hid her drawing in her bag when the drone gave her the paper.

Asterian raised his hoof to add to Blue's statement, waiting patiently to speak.

With puzzled look Blue wondered why is Asterian raising his hoof and not simply talking, then she realized and blushed again. "Oh, right. Class started. Ups." she said silently

Bane looks at Asterian. "You may proceed to speak Asterian." The projection seems to be at a pause.

North Wind raised his hoof in the air to get Mr. Emural's attention.

Wavelength smiled at the spider-machine as it passed by, accepting a paper from it with a nod. He couldn't help but stare at the joints, watching how they functioned. It wasn't just walking around like any multi-legged drone could be programmed to; it was controlling each limb fluidly, stepping around and climbing the desks flawlessly.

Asterian added a comment on his knowledge of the Origin. "The truth about the Origin of Magic is that no pony truly knows how it started... or at least, no pony is in any condition to tell us. The thought that a deity bestowed equine-kind with the gift of mana manipulation is a rather creationist view on the subject. Since science has yet to prove or disprove any logical theories at this point in this, it is impossible to say whether or not a higher being granted us magical prowess or whether it was just chance evolution." Starfall ended his sentence with a hastily added, "Personally, I think ponies evolved with the aid of a higher being."

Blue gave Asterian a heartily smile and advanced on her previous statement. "As do i. But such believes are common for every culture that reaches a certain point. Maybe its just part of how culture evolves?" she thought for a bit and continued. "Magic basically is just understanding, is science magic too? I wonder..." she became silent again for a few moments before raising her hoof. "Oh, i'm terribly sorry, mister Emural. Do you mind us openly discussing?" she asked, up until now she was so lost in her own thoughts that she totally forgot her manners and the proper student-teacher procedure.

Bane smiles and shakes his head. "No, I do not mind if you have an open discussion. Just do not stray from the subject at hoof. And you are right, your race did advanced by the power of the Makers, after the race of the Ancients died in a terrible incident. This forced the Makers to create life once again, basing the structure of the ponies on the First race, then proceed on creating other forms of life to add a bit of diversity. Thus the Third race. The only difference between the Third and the First is that you ponies were given magic. The First were taught in the language of the Makers to use magic without the price of mana. This kept the Makers close both First and Second race, especially the First." Bane notices Wind. "You may speak North Wind."
