"I was just curious, are we going to just be learning spells they used a long time ago, or are we learning a new, well, technically, old way to do magic?"

Blue turns to North "That's a pretty good question. I would actually liked both."

"We are going to do both of them, mostly the magic of which my race has done. You can cast regular magic using the language of Ancient Magic, but you must first learn of its words that brings in such power. So the language of which you all must learn is the language of the Makers, the words of which the Makers used to create the world and introduced magic to us lower creatures of power. Do you all understand? If so, please take out the syllabus of which my little friend has passed to you." The spider drone comes back to the front of the class and drops the extras to my desk. It then starts doing other duties, mainly preparing the history lesson on the ancient projector. "For what you will need in this class is: paper, any sort of writing material, a personal ancient spell book, and an open mind. The rules are usually the ones you should know by now, including the rule, don't disrupt the teacher or projection unless you have a question. Then of course we go to the introduction of Ancient Magic, which is... listen to teacher because I'm not going to write several papers as the same exact copy. It's very tiresome and its better if I explain it verbally." Bane puts the syllabus on his desk. "Now then, if there are any more questions you like to ask, please do. If not, then we can proceed into teaching the origins of Ancient Magic, so you can have a much better understanding before we get to the fun part."

Wavelength got out his learning resources and directed his attention to the front without question. His expression wasn't impatient; he simply didn't have anything to add.

Asterian smiled with an eager glint in his eye. Casually taking out the required mediums for the class–which he had plenty of thanks to his hobby/profession–he replaced the scrolls he had taken out earlier and prepared himself for further instruction.

Blue was also eager to learn, one could tell by the look in her eyes. With a big smile she prepared her pen and paper.

North Wind got out his stuff without any accidents this time and directed his full attention to his teacher.

Bane looks at each one of them and smiles. "Good. Glad to see you all ready to learn." Bane goes to the projector and starts the lesson. "What we are going to learn, is the history behind Ancient Magic. And we will start all the way to the time of which Time wasn't born. The time of which Time was to be born into the universe by the first beings who were born before Time itself, these are the Makers." The projection shows the Makers as different species known in this world and other unknown species. "As you can see here, most of these Makers are different from one another. This one is a dragon, while that one is a zebra, the other is a pony, and so on. Some of the Makers actually look like the same species but all of them are the same. Now, like all intelligent beings, they have their own language, and of course, a source of power. How the Makers created this world is through language, but not their own language. A language that derives from the Maker's tongue. They are typically words of power used by the Makers to create life, death, fire, ice, and whatever element there is needed in these worlds." The projector moves on to the Makers creating the universe with Maker magic. "Any questions about the Makers before we move on?"

Asterian hastily scrawled on his blank sheet of parchment every detail that he may need, looking up and pausing occasionally to view the projections. He then looked up at the projector, a silent sign showing he had no questions.

"What's the word for ice?" North Wind blurted out, then realized his mistake. "Sorry for calling out, but I was just curious."

"It's okay, but save that question for later. We are only in history right now and you must understand Ancient Magic and its language before you can learn any words." Bane looks at the other students. "Any other questions relating to the Makers? If not, we shall move on."

Blue was carefully listening and making notes of things she thought of as important. When the time for students questions came she thought for a bit before speaking out. "Um... How come they were so diverse? And and how exactly did the makers come into existence?"

Wavelength thought of a question, but since Blue was already asking one of her own, he simply held up a hoof and waited for hers to be answered.

"Good question. Why were they so diverse? The Makers were diverse because they each represented something. For the ponies, it was the Alicorn Maker, the same with the changelings, dragons, and so forth. As for the other Makers, they represented an element such as fire, ice, water, etc." The projections shows each different Make. Then it moves on to a group of Makers, Makers with a high powerful aura in them. "Then there is a group of Makers known as the Forbidden Ones. Makers that makes the basic laws of which most of life have followed. Each of these Makers only have created one law, like the elements to their makers or the species to theirs. But what makes these Makers forbidden is the power behind these laws of which they create. And because of this mysterious power, the other Makers become feared by it. So feared, that they either shun the Forbidden Ones or imprison them. But there are some that aren't afraid of that power and are willing to work with the Forbidden Ones for their freedom. And because of this incident, it created the sides of good and evil, or atleast two Makers who accidentally created those two laws. As for how a law is made, no Maker knows." The projection shows the laws of the Makers and powers behind each law. It also shows the struggles between the Forbidden Ones and their allies against the feared Makers. "So to answer your first question, Makers are diverse because they represent something: a law, an element, or species."
"As for your second question. As far as I know, the Makers were here before Time was born in this universe. If you want to know more, you may have to ask the Forbidden Maker of Knowledge about that, which is something we may go over about. I hope my answers clarified your curious mind." Bane notices Wavelength. "You may speak Wavelength."

Wavelength lowered his hoof as he asked his question. "How much variation is there in the makers' language? Is it all one spoken language, or is it written as well? And are there separate languages for the different species of makers or the different elements they control, or simply different words?"
