Asterian nodded to Chrysteel, having heard her statement about secrets. "Then... May I see the Tree again after this meal? I feel like... Like I can connect to it somehow." Starfall truly did not know how to explain it. In honesty, he himself did not know what the connection meant, and it was his hope that by seeing it that he could potentially understand.
He then levitated—with a smile now that he could use his magic—a biscuit over to himself, taking a light bite from it as he enjoyed the company of his newfound friends, sharing in their conversation.

Laserbolt came down to where Asterian and Chrysteel were talking. He had bags under his eyes, and seemed a bit twitchy. "Hey, you two. How'd you all sleep?" He slumped down in a seat, and grabbed a biscuit, shoving it down his maw. He started talking quietly to himself. "Well, I'm not... whatever I was last time... maybe that'll help... but we can't let him ruin it this time..." He turned to Asterian, speaking shakily. "Do you know about a... creature named Clockwork? Now, know that this is very important. VERY important." At this point, he had moved up very close to Asterian, his eyes wide.

Chrysteel says, "Are you talking about a mechanized creature with swirls of time all around him? the name is definitely familiar. But as to where I heard it from before now, I can't currently remember." Chrysteel is consuming some normal food and some of the love stones she had asked for. She drinks of the cider made by the farmers of Avalon. She seams to contemplate her answer for Asterian. Then Chrysteel says, "The tree has several fruits glowing. though I can feel the cause for the glow is not within Avalon. I can sense that your heart has brightened though. I feel all of our questions will be answered in time. Lets let the morning bring new things for us. Please be prepared for the trip to the dragon lands."
=== Some where in Avalon === Rendia has been with North Wind all this time. She says, "I know I have asked something hard of you. If you need time please let me know. when the sun raises we will be heading to the dragon lands. if more information you seek, then it is with Lady Tiamont and Lord Bahamut that you may find the answers."

Bane, sitting near Chrysteel, took some bread and jam and spread the jam on the piece of bread. "There are few who contains the power of Time, and those who do represent Time as a Concept or a Timekeeper. Since this is a mechanized creature that goes by the name of Clockwork, I would assume that he is a Concept of Time." He eats the bread and glances at Chrysteel. "And what is this tree you are talking about? You seem to have picked my interest with it now with this talk of a particular tree." He takes a sip at the cider.

She looks to bane with a certain looks of confusion. She says, "Are you telling me you never heard the tale told by the royal sisters of about 2000 years ago? The one where they sealed him in stone using the elements of harmony? Same tree as the one from that tale. Please do not speak of it outside Avalon. It is by a certain set of events we, the children of Avalon, keep this tree a secret as best we can from others. It is for the future of our discorded world that we did this. Because as light cannot exist without the dark so to was it that chaos couldn't exist without harmony. they are opposites of the same coin. We, the children of Avalon, built our home here to hide the tree from him. He has destroyed our home many a time but each time, by mine and mothers powers as well as an outside help, the tree survived every attack he threw at us. Avalon survives because we and mother survive."
Chrysteel's wings make a sharp gesture, as if to tell all of Cadence's other children to leave. Once they were gone she takes a deep breath and says, "Avalon has been destroyed by discord at least 15 to 16 times already. I was there for every one of them. The most recent one killed a lunar butterfly watching over her eggs. I took it upon myself to tend to her children as my own in order to repay a debt I felt we owned her for her fall. Cadence too has paid dearly many a time to protect the tree and Avalon. She gave us changelings our gift of freedom from 'The Hunger'. from the moment she did that we became her children. That however isn't the reason I had everyone else leave. When I speak of Avalon's destruction, I speak of its destruction from within its core. To us changelings Avalon's core is Lady Cadence. I think you get the picture. despite tis Lady Cadence has always said that we, her children, are Avalon. I always knew that we, Cadence's Children, were always the key to Avalon's survival. I was the first she chose to carry on the core of Avalon, but something prevented her from passing onto me the gift for the continued existence of Avalon. I tell you this because you should at least know to run when Lady Cadence says so. Mother can explain the rest, if she wishes to." Chrysteel now sits in silence for a bit to let her words sink in and be understood. She eats her food and love crystals while waiting.

Asterian nods again towards Chrysteel, but... "Chrysteel, I... do not mean to sound rude, but that did not answer my question." He looked at the changeling princess can re-stated his question. "May I have the honor of seeing It again before we leave?" He then went on to explain himself further.
"I know this may sound asinine, but in the forest, I learned that vegetation has its own aura. Almost as if it has a mind and soul. If that Tree is what it truly is, and the connection I felt being there last night is real, It may hold a key to my very existence. Do you understand?"
The young stallion may have come off as a little aggressive, but he tried to keep himself composed with a friendly vibe.

Chrysteel nods and says, "If you possess a connection to the tree then it has yet to fully awaken. when I checked the tree this morning only two of the seeds were glowing. They began to glow from a filly's laugh and a mother's action for her child. as far as I could tell none of the other seeds were glowing. I have yet to figure out the reason behind the glow except that it came with a laugh and one who would not leave their child, even if that child was turned into a muffin. I will take you though once mother wakes. For a mater of fact I will show you all the tree. It all depends on how soon mother Cadence wishes to head out for the dragon kingdom." Chrysteel continues her meal while waiting for the others to wake.
((unless you all have some interactions for Chrysteel or Rendia, this will be my last post till the continuation post from Magus.))

Schakolad came down the stairs where everypony was gathered. "Hallo, my friends! How did your sleep fare?" He seemed fresh-faced and bright-eyed, grabbing a biscuit off of the table, and tossing it into the air, catching it in his mouth. He turned to Laser, who hadn't moved away from Asterian, still waiting for his answer. For some reason, he had ignored the other two's answers. "What is wrong, Laser? You seem... on edge." Laserbolt blinked, and stepped back a bit. "Sorry, I had... a sort of vision last night. Schakolad, do you know anything about a creature named Clockwork?" Schakolad blinked, and for a moment, it seemed like he had no idea what Laser was talking about, then frowned deeply. "Yes... while I was stuck in the castle with all the other... slaves of Discord, I passed the room where The Old One kept this Clockwork. He is an uncertain variable. I heard them talk of him being God of Time." Laser nodded. "Alright, Schakolad, listen to me, this is important." "Da?" "DO. NOT. Under any circumstances, interact with Clockwork. Avoid him at all costs. He could be the death of us all." He stopped talking, and as his words died out, he noticed he was shaking violently. Schakolad reached a hoof out, and placed it on his shoulder, steadying him. "Do not worry, Laserbolt. Ya have my honor that I will not do anything to endanger this mission." In that moment, his voice changed from the low Stalliongrad happy growl he usually had, to a sort of... twang. He reached a hoof up, and touched it to his throat. "What happened to my- oh, it's gone. Hm. Nothing to worry about, den." He smiled, and started munching on another biscuit.

After a long walk, Shade stopped to rest near a tree next to a path that appeared to lead toward what was previously known as Ponyville. The rest brought knew thoughts to mind. "I feel like I have been here before." Shade stated only watching what was recalled with shadows. Not many others could see what the shadows were displaying. Those who have a slight knowledge of Oblivion could see these vague images. These images aren't just displaying just to comfort me. Without guidance, I would be as lost to my purpose as a leaf that is forever pushed by the wind. A little guidance is all one needs to start blazing a new trail. Art thou ready to seek guidance? Watching a memory of fillies playing, Shade was saddened by the thought that more interactions like this one were never something that were not looked upon without the harsh reminder that the dark would take it away.
Necroscale couldn't find Shade, so he took a seat on a set of stairs that led to some doors to a large structure, that he didn't think much of before sitting down. "I hope you didn't leave me, Shade."

Asterian looked to Laser, reading his intent expression. "I can tell you are eager for an answer to that, but unfortunately, I have none... To be honest, I would probably be the last to know of anything going on here." after his explanation of hearing about this "Clockwork," Starfall went back to enjoying his biscuit. It was clear that whoever sat beside him did not get a night's sleep.
It was at that point that he remembered something. He turned back to the slightly crazed pony next to him, "Oh, um, forgive me. I do not think we have been introduced. Asterian Starfall."

A sort of "morning" came to the Hidden Land of Avalon, with Harmonic magic filling the sky with warm rays of light, a few of the last "normal" birds in all the world singing joyfully to welcome the beginning of another day.
A combination of perfect tranquility and everyday bustle was about the streets and skies of the hive, something which simply didn't exist anymore outside this land. Merchants were trading, messengers were darting here and there, and the sounds of cheerful foals, chicks, cubs and kids could be heard in many a loving home.
Queen Cadance walked about among her Children, warmly greeting the many denizens of this place, occasionally lending a helping wing or hoof to whoever needed it. She seemed more quiet and somber than usual, looking about with a sort of nostalgia, as though this may very well be the last time such peace may be found in a long, long time. This is the day... the start of a great change. Today the Destined Ones will join me in my journey to Queen Tiamat, and there in the caldera we shall decide the fate of the world. Father, Mother, give us courage. No strength of arms or magic can stand before the Enemy. But let the Fires of Friendship burn in our hearts, and let its light shine out in this dark world. May it be enough to change the threads of fate...
*****
Queen Tiamat and King Bahamut needed no sleep. They watched Their Brood without blinking, ceaselessly guarding Their land from the Enemy.
"A PERIOD OF TWELVE HOURS HAS PASSED. SOON, QUEEN CADANCE, AND THE CHOSEN ONES, SHALL COME."
*****
The mad god grinned widely, then laughed once more at Clockwork's guesses.
Oh, that is just TOO FUNNY! You, you SERIOUSLY think that she LOVES you?! Oh, how hiLArious! Ah, but I think, I THINK, that I shall leave that little MYStery for YOU to figure out, hmm? Always trying to make SENSE of everything, especially HERE of all places! AHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAAAAAAAAA!
The purple sky that wasn't there before and yet was still somehow INSIDE the dungeon and UNDER Them rained knives UPWARDS. Buffalo ballet dancers flipped over unicycles on the walls, then shrank and turned into pies that fell sideways. Monkeys ate marshmallow balloons made of putty flowers which burped cows over rainbow towers of bubblegum. A filly's head exploded into confetti, and kazoos playing monkeys on a banjo sang a funeral dirge.
SENSE?! OH, WHAT'S THE FUN IN MAKING SENSE?!
***** *****
It didn't make sense. But what's the fun in making sense? But this was different.
My name is Twilight Tragedy. Element of Magic. And for the first time since I can remember, not that Master allows me to remember much, I feel an emotion. That emotion is confusion.
I watch the day turn into night, and back into day again. A hippogriff screams that he can't take it anymore, and slams into Sky Ocean, instantly turning into a happy, mindless seapony mare. That grey pegasus gallops by on her endless course around the castle for as long as her legs are unbroken. The next moment, a murder of crows rushes by in hot pursuit.
Chaos. It's not supposed to be normal. There isn't supposed to BE a normal. Is defying the very rules of Chaos still Chaos?
My mind turns back to that filly. The only filly that ever made Master laugh as far as I can remember. Why did she laugh? "You have to find something to laugh about"? Why? WHY?
My head hurts even though Master hasn't even done anything recently. Liarjack comes by and sits next to me. Her face registers what my books say is "sadness". An odd thing about Liarjack. She never, ever tells the truth. Which means you can often get the truth by thinking backwards.
"Liarjack."
"Yeah, Twi?"
"Tragedy is Magic, is it not?"
She sighed for some reason. Was it frustration? Regret? Resignation?
"Consarn it, Twi, y'all NEVER asked me THAT one b'fore. But... 'course it is. Yep. Tragedy's definitely Magic."
It didn't make sense. But what's the fun in making sense? A strange feeling in my stomach and heart. Why is there water exiting my eyes?
"Thank you, Liarjack. I... I think I am in need of rest now."
She whispers something. I ignore it. What is this feeling? What is this... emotion? I stumble through the gateway. A few million years and more changes than I can count later, I stumble out the other side without a single second having passed. I move on. The castle throws me into the black hole. I teleport out and keep walking. The dirt maids cover me in dust and start doing an impromptu dance number. I ignore them.
Laughter. Why? Why does my mind keep returning to that filly? Why do I feel confusion, and why do I feel this may be a key to something? Freedom? What is freedom? The books define freedom as a power or right to act as one wants to without restraint. But what does that mean? My only desires are to serve and obey Master. What does that mean?
I look in the mirror as I enter my room. Underneath the dust, I see the same grey unicorn I have always been. But why is there purple flickering inside my eyes? Why is there a spark in the pupils? It doesn't make sense.
I water the two plants, ignoring their attempts to curl around my legs. I lie down on my bed. Perhaps sleep will remove this confusion.
The last thought that comes to mind before I sleep is an image of Apple Pie, and the word "Laughter".

Chrysteel senses her mother out about the ponies and other creatures of Avalon and says, "Mother is making her rounds. We should make ready for soon we will be on our way. If any would like to see IT before we leave, I am heading there now. I have to feed Lunia and leave more for her to feed on while we are away."
Chrysteel gets up having finished her meal and begins to head to the guarden she has that Lunia, The Lunar Butterfly would be in. she picks up a few buckets of flower nectar and begins to head out of the dinning area. She heads down the hall and out in the main garden. At the central fountain, she moves herself in a was as to make sure only a few could see her and moves on to the garden of lost memories. The ruins of old Avalon.

The ruins of old Avalon. Asterian rises from the table the moment he heard Chrysteel, saying " excuse me" as he did so. He followed Chrysteel closely, noticing the buckets she was carrying. " Here, Chrysteel. Let me carry those." He ignited his horn, wrapping his magical grasp around the buckets' handles and drawing them to him. In addition to practicing control, he knew that carrying a lady's burden in the literal sense was the right thing to do. He smiled as they proceeded and continued to their destination. All the while, Starfall could feel some sort of power growing inside of him. Something was about to come forth, but what it was remained unknown to him...

Bane finishes his meal and drink. He gets up from the table and walks towards one of the windows. He watches the citizens from within. "It feels as if a film from my memories is being played right in front of me. Seeing all these citizens walking about in their happy lives, and yet, there is this sense of danger. A common one, one where their freedom may be taken away once Chaos takes control over the lands, completely. One cannot see it, but one can feel it once they have felt what harmony is. Once they have tasted freedom from all the chaos in this once great land." He sits there watching Avalon, while waiting for Cadence.

After moments of watching the memory play, Shade cast it away. "Hope may not help, but with some motive, I might have the courage to actually interact with those that appear to have some kind of important role in this world." While getting up, Shadechaser could feel a shadow being cast upon the ground near. Uncertain what it was from, Shade looked up. "Few light sources could cause a shadow at that angle. Was it an eerie feeling, or a sign from a different field? Knowledge, I have, is slim, yet strong. Worry shall not set in, for when it does havoc will ensue." With a few mental kicks, Shade moved towards what seemed logical for an important structure.
Necroscale, feeling lonely, travels back to the Ancient Tree. "Through the chaos and the turmoil, I will be with you... Through the sadness and the sorrow, what can we care to do..." Necro sang part of a riddle Shade once recited. Necro wasn't really certain before what it meant, but now, he wish he did.
