[...] Tape tilted his head at Cosmic's tone, then grew serious, nodding. " I have time. Want to talk about it here, or someplace more private?" [...] Cosmic says, " It is fine to talk about it here. You remember The ships I use to talk to you about when I was younger? I think these unknown raiders are somehow connected with them. They share the same markings as the ones that hit 'her' ship so long ago. What do you think I should do? Should I pursue them or should I go a different route to bring this to a close? I really could use the help on this one. Also thanks in advance for this." Cosmic, after explaining to him what was on his mind, waits for his friend's reply.

Yellow Light followed Buckeye inside the heavy cruiser. When she looked around, she found the inside of the ship to not look very different from the outside... even though the main hallways were nearly six meters across by four high, there were massive support columns and braces every 8 meters that looked like they could have individually held up a suspension bridge. She couldn't help but wonder how much of this ship could be destroyed without losing even the slightest hint of structural integrity.

Buckeye leads the recruits to the barracks. Some of the crew members came out of their rooms and looked at the group of recruits. He faces the recruits. "This is the barracks, here you will be living in here until your term is either up, you are transferred, or you wish to leave. Each one of you will take either an empty room containing 4 personnel or a room with one more space left over. After that, I will need the experienced pilots in the armory for a refresher course and the basics on this military's weaponry. You fresher recruits can roam around the area until called upon, get a feel of the ship and know where to go. That is after you unpack your stuff and selected a room to stay in. Alright, go at it." He leaves the recruits and heads towards the bridge.
Stone and Flame looks at the recruits. Some of the recruits have chosen a few unoccupied rooms, the others went to choose the rooms with one or two more spaces left for them. There are a few rooms left in the barracks.

Yellow Light remembered how big the ship was from the outside... her first course of action was to take a PDA analysis of the ship's map painted on the Barracks wall. She recorded the maps of each level, and her PDA converted it into a real-time travel feed for her to view at any time while on the ship. No matter where she went, she'd be able to come a-runnin' when called on. After that, she stepped off to the side and examined the map to see if there was anything of interest... namely flight simulators. She wanted to figure out how this military's aircraft run, especially since the Sheriff had mentioned that the pilots might get to choose what they fly.

The Duke smiled at Queen Moonlight. " That is very wise, your Majesty. But how shall we know who to speak with, and how to treat with them?" Rose woke up from all the commotion outside of the room. She gets up and sees Stone and Flame hanging around in the doorway. She wonders what they were looking at and joins them. She sees a couple of recruits looking around, pilots by the looks of them. She smiles. Stone and Flame look behind them and saw her smile, they knew that one of them will be pilot and fix the busted Pelican rose has been working on. Stone looks at the recruits and sees Yellow standing there. He heads towards her. "Hey you! I see you haven't chosen a room yet. Want to join ours? It would be better if you stuck around with personnel who knows their way around the ship." Stone points to the room with Flame and Rose in it. "So, what do you say?"

The yellow pegasus looked up from her map search and smiled. "Oh, yeah, I nearly forgot all about choosing a room... I'd love to join, she said as she got a little closer to Flame and Rose to include the roommates in her greeting. "My name's Yellow Light, just got out of flight school and college. To whom do I have the honor of speaking?" she asked the group, looking back and forth to each new face.

Stone was the first to answer. "I am Stone Rockfell. I am of part of the marine forces of this fleet." Flame came next. "I'm Flame Star, the ODST sniper. The griffon next to me is Rose Blackwing, a Pelican crew chief. She is a mute so be careful around her if she doesn't respond fast enough, she kinda had it rough the first time she was sent into this fleet."

Yellow started to give Rose a sorry look, but just as quickly shook it off. "I bet she never lets it slow her down!" she said, giving the griffon a confident smile. "Pleased to meet you all." She took a brief moment to look around at the barracks' central hub she had just come from, then turned back to the group. "Hey, I don't know how long it'll be before I'm called on. Anything I can do for you all right now? I certainly like to be useful."

"Now that you mention it, there is something you can do for Rose. Will you care to show it to Yellow if you would?" Rose nods and beckons Yellow to follow. She heads out towards the hangars.
Buckeye reaches the bridge. "Is everything in order? We ready head out?" One of the crew members responds. "Yes sir, we are stocked and ready to go on your command sir."
"Good. What of the other ships?"
"They are good to go and waiting for your signal."
"Alright, we will head out and go to another station, there is a certain place we must go to in order to deliver a letter to the leaders of Homeworld. Tell the ships to launch."
The communications officer tells the other ships to start departing. The Shining Star departs from the Spacedock. The 21st Defense Fleet heads towards another station.

Yellow Light followed Rose... and the yellow mare's ears perked up when she realized via her map that they were heading toward the hangars. Whatever they would be doing there, she was about to get an up-close look at some of this ship's smaller craft. She restrained her mental excitement and kept up with Rose.

Rose leads Yellow to the hangar, where there is an assortment of space/aircraft in different bays, land vehicles prepared for battle. Rose turns to her right and goes into a Pelican bay. Inside of it is a D77-TC Pelican, a very older model. It seems half finished. Most of the armor has been replaced, the main engines have been repaired, the weapons have been repaired, and the magnetic vehicle attachment is working. The parts that still needs to be repaired/replaced is the armor at the front end of the Pelican, the thrusters, the landing gear, and the Pelican's interiors.
Stone and Flame comes up from behind the two. "That there is the Phoenix Dawn, a very old Pelican model used ever since it was first produced. You see the name etched into the armor near the front? Those are the names of its pilot and co-pilot. There only two names on there, so it was only used by its only previous owners."
"Most of the spacecraft we have on this ship have names etched into the armor or into the interior walls. They serve memorials for those who perished in a battle, quit, or has been stationed into another fleet. Since the armor on that thing is getting replaced, you will find the same names etched into the interior walls inside. Luckily that Pelican wasn't damaged too badly for it to be scrapped."
"When Rose was assigned as a Pelican crew chief, this was the Pelican she chose, despite the amount of damage it took long ago. Now its looking a lot better than it used to be. And now with fresh new supplies for maintenance and your assisstance, Rose may be able to finish this memoriable ship and get it in working condition. We will be here handling the heavy-lifting as usual."

Yellow looked over the craft in awe. "Four independent, rotating thrust pods... with two directions apiece?" She circled the craft once, then paused in front of the group again. "This thing's amazing! I can't wait to see it fly!" She paused and stared back at the pelican for a moment. "So... do I just get started, or did Rose want me to help in a specific order?" Yellow Light inquired.

The group smiles at Yellow's response of the ship. Stone looks at Rose and she just nods. He turns his head towards Yellow. "You just work on whatever needs to be replaced or repaired. The spare parts are in the far end of the bay, so any thing you need, just tell us and we can carry it to you. Rose will be working on electronics systems in the interior, you can either help her there, or begin working on the damaged areas."

The object came loose almost immediately, and if he still had a heart, his heart rate would have spiked seeing what was unmistakably a bomb right behind it. It was... unimaginably complex, the sort of technology NO faction should have had, organic or inorganic. It was some sort of White Hole creator, and from the looks of it the thing was set to go off very soon. How soon was uncertain, given the lack of decipherable markings. By his computations, the resulting "gravitational peak" would be almost equivalent to a supergiant going supernova. Every known material in existence would be simply turned into quantum foam for almost a light-year around, perhaps more. Of ALL the days for this to happen... Scorpion Sting whinnied in shock, catching the attention of his honour guard and Pertrabus, who he turned to... "A white hole generator! I haven't seen something like this since..."
A vice grip pulled him backwards as the team quickly filtered through the door, Pertrabus bringing up the rear as Scorpion's honour guard charged forwards. Galloping on three hooves was not easy, even in the face of impending dematerialisation from the universe, and Scorpion wished he had taken a comm-link headset before he left his ship. "All forces, pull back immediately to home quadrant! I repeat, pull back to home quadrant!"
"Estimated distance until we have teleport range is 300 meters and closing!"
There goes the glory of restoring this ship, but the ship was the least of their worries now, if there was to be anything left of it. Scorpion grunted as he was hoisted into the air by Pertabus' massive iron gauntlets as the mechotaur sailed over the honour guard, the machine's colossal step bounding them closer to range than what even galloping speed would muster. "150 meters!"
They would have to report their failings to Clockwork directly, and the Lord of Time was not known to be merciful in the face of failure...
