The home to Megatokyo's finest academic establishments, Bunkyou has long been the home of the city's literati, scholars and politicians. Situated conveniently beside Shinjuku, Taitou and Chiyoda, its proud list of institutes include Megatokyo University, the Kodokan Judo Institute, Nippon Medical School, and Toyo University, each dealing with such intricate subjects as law, biotechnology, nanotechnology, medicine, engineering, and the sciences.
More recent, but no less prestigious, institutes include Megatokyo Magical Academy, Hidden Leaf Ninja Academy, and Megatokyo Onmyou Academy of Spiritual Magic. Each focuses on various aspects of magic and chi manipulation, as well as psionics and other unconventional sciences. The term "Supernatural Science" is now considered outdated and a misnomer among educated scholars in these fields.
