Diverse and fast-paced, Shinjuku is centered around the massive Shinjuku Station, one of the largest train stations in Megatokyo. It contains a large variety of businesses and inhabitants, but the main focuses are technology and the red light districts. For obvious reasons, its bright areas tend to be brighter than the rest of Megatokyo, while its darker areas are far darker.
Nichoume and Kabukichou are among the most questionable parts of this district, with heavy emphasis on activities that would normally be frowned upon by the rest of society. Kagurazaka is a well-known geisha district as well.
Most who seek to avoid these parts seek out Naito-Shinjuku and the Golden Gai, the former an area bustling with department stores, and the latter a popular gathering place for musicians, artists, journalists, actors and directors of all sorts.
Yodobashi and Ichigaya are the sites of some of the tallest skyscrapers in the city and the impressive Megatokyo Ministry of Defense headquarters. Most organizations, including the Megatokyo Defense Force, answer ultimately to the Ministry of Defense.
As for Megatokyo Defense Force headquarters, that building is located directly adjacent to the Ministry of Defense, in close proximity to the Ministry of Magic and other defense-related buildings.
