Laserbolt made a face that looked like a cross between a smirk and a grimace. "I... think I get it? You can keep going, I'll follow as best I can." To be honest, though, he just wanted to figure out his place in all this. Everything else seemed... useless, really.

The pony looked up, meeting her gaze for a bit, then snorted. "You might say that," he replied, looking about at the students filing out of the room. "Though..."
His eyes softened a bit. "I think that maybe, just maybe, deep down even these ponies might be worth something, if they would just wake up. You're Moonlight, aren't you? I've seen how you react to Professor Status Quo's lectures. I take it you're starting to realize there's more to life than Husking Beaver songs and the latest fashion trends?"
Lyra pursed her lips, thinking. "Let's see... I guess I'll just start with some of the more obvious facts first, though they might not seem so obvious to you. By the way, you're really taking a lot of this information in stride."
She pulled open a file cabinet, rummaged through the various contents and finally pulled out a few folders, laying them out on a table. She also whimsically gave Laserbolt a baseball cap with a silvery inside lining that looked like some sort of tinfoil.
"I'm sure you know about the whole Crystal Heart thing in the North? They even said it in the news outright. This might not sound shocking to you until you actually put that cap on, but the Crystal Array is actually a device that can control your emotions, and even your thoughts and memories from long range. This cap helps to block out at least some of the magic that's used. I did some research on mental magic, and surprisingly it turns out that tinfoil is an excellent shielding material when it comes to that sort of thing. Try it on. It might feel strange the first time."
If Laserbolt chooses to put the tinfoil cap on, he immediately feels as though whispers he never realized were there had suddenly gone silent, or a blinding hypnotic light that had always been shining in his face had suddenly vanished. It was the feeling he usually got only when around Princess Luna, the feeling of the stifling air suddenly becoming clear, of being able to THINK and breathe freely, invigorating like nothing else. It's strange, but a good strange. The taste of freedom.

Laserbolt looked at the hat, and raised an eyebrow. "You know, you're really lucky that Luna sent me to you." And with that, he slipped the hat on, and blinked a couple times, his eyes going blank for a moment. Then, he shook his head. "What the hay? That's... new. It's quiet." A part of him liked how peaceful everything had gotten in that one little moment in time. And the other part... "Too quiet, almost. Is this what you feel like all the time?"

Moonlight smiled she did find the right pony yay! " Yes i am Moonlight and ever since i went to high school iv'e pretty much told my self that these ponies are mindless rats living in a ponies body i'm not into fashion that much as you can see with my glasses and purple vest as for husking beaver songs why the hell does that guy even in the music industry? why does he even exist?. Gosh his fans make me sick " she sighed "alright rant over yes ever since i went to high school iv'e realized there's a lot more to life that being a rat living in a ponies body" she said finally a pony she can somewhat relate to and someone that doesn't call her insane crazy mad or stupid when expressing her opinions about society. Though she had to wonder if there's other ponies like them ponies that realized there's more to life than new video game reviews and new songs made by a terrible singer. And she also wonders why are ponies acting like this exactly? or what made them act like ignorant dweebs were they force to think like this? or does everyone have undevelop brains? bah and truth may reveal it self in the future.

Lyra smiled. "It's what I strive for, at the very least. Once I found out what mental silence was like, I never went back. Now, let me repeat what I just said. The Crystal Array is actually a device that can control your emotions, and even your thoughts and memories from long range."
She waited for the information to sink in, now that the mental and emotional intrusion from the Crystal Heart that had been keeping Laserbolt passive all this time was wearing out.
Truth Seeker grinned. "I know exactly what you mean. As if everyone was acting like sheep surrounded by wolves, too stupid to even realize they were about to be eaten. And they are, Moonlight. They just don't see it. Here, sit down. Sorry, I don't usually hold conversations this long," he admitted, pulling out a chair for the filly.
He then took out some books, and as he did, Moonlight could see a pendant around his neck, in the shape of a crescent moon.
The first book was about the size of a small paperback, and the second was more of a green pamphlet than an actual book. Both had a lot of tabs and looked well-used, especially the green pamphlet.
"Have you ever heard of the writer Sir Green Strokes? He was the first one to really inspire me to look into what was going on and stuff."

Moonlight sat down on the chair that appeared who knows where maybe it was just there and she didn't notice whatever she isn't gonna question logic right now. However his pendant did intrigue her a bit not that she had never worn a pendant in the shape of a crescent moon before. " Iv'e heard of him once from a mindless sheep saying he's some kind crazy dude with no friends which is more than likely not true but i have never read any of his books since i mostly read books about magic n stuff so what do you think is going on? " she said looking at the books he took out but Moonlight does feel they should talk about such matters somewhere that ponies can't hear its making her a bit paranoid.

Laserbolt raised a hoof, looking very confused. "So... if the main purpose of the Crystal Heart is to control ponies' minds... then does that mean the whole 'Powered by Love' thing is bunk? I wouldn't say I'm surprised." Suddenly, he grinned diabolically. "Please tell me there's something up with the Elements too. That would make me so happy."

Truth Seeker grinned. "It's a long story, but I think I have most of it figured out. Don't worry, it's not illegal to share the truth... just mildly unpopular. Doing something about it, however..."
He turned dead serious, and leaned in to speak quietly.
"Follow the shadow of the bell as the Sun sets, and knock once at the door where the rising Moon's light first shines, tonight."
He then leaned back, smiling casually again. "Technically, it's all out in the open, though buried under piles of meaningless junk and lies. The corporate takeovers, the public works projects, the military-industrial complex, the brainwashing, all of the information is publicly available - and that's what makes The Powers That Be so maddening. They're untouchable, so obvious that you'd have to be blind not to see it... but by sheer force of will, they are able to make the average pony simply bend over limply and take it."
Truth Seeker opened the Green Manifesto, turning its well-used pages reverently.
"If money is the bond binding me to everyday life, binding society to me, connecting me with nature and 'ponykind', is not money the bond of all bonds? Can it not dissolve and bind all ties? Is it not, therefore, also the universal agent of separation? So wrote Sir Green Strokes, mere months before the Black Guard began tearing apart his home in search of him and his followers in the name of 'Harmony'. The whole world runs on money, on the rich controlling everypony else. Why? Power. All ponies desire it in some way, but the elite, they are addicted to power and wealth. They horde it, value it more than anything else, even their own family and friends. And as the years go by, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and they find more and more ways to keep the average pony stupid and obedient, whether by having Royal Guards on every street corner, or blasting Husking Beaver songs until you're drooling and sucking on your hoof like a foal."
Lyra sighed. "That's the sad part, actually. I don't think they're actually evil, at least, not intentionally so. I can imagine a bunch of scenarios where they're used for bad reasons, but most of us Revolutionaries, and Sir Green Strokes himself, believe that it's the elites, the insanely rich and powerful bloodlines dating even before the Dark Ages, that are the puppetmasters. The Elements are by themselves just tools, and they can be used for good or for evil, and since they don't do much other than shoot rainbows as far as I know, they aren't as useful as the Crystal Heart... but the Rainbow of Light can still be touted as a weapon, a threat against any who would dare upset the status quo, this whole setup the elites have created to essentially enslave us all."
She pulled out a book titled The Green Manifesto, flipping to a note-covered page.
"If money is the bond binding me to everyday life, binding society to me, connecting me with nature and 'ponykind', is not money the bond of all bonds? Can it not dissolve and bind all ties? Is it not, therefore, also the universal agent of separation? Money is Power, and there's nothing the elites want more than power, as much as they can get and more. It's not a logical thing, although some of the documents leaked from the lesser groups seem to imply that they want to go back to the old days. You know the ones - Earth Ponies at the bottom of the totem pole, a rigid social structure where the rich stayed rich forever and had every right to use peasants for target practice on a whim. Some of the other documents say they're looking to complete some sort of vast ritual and ascend to become Alicorns themselves, at the expense of the rest of the world."

" Of course the ponies that are near unstopable are behind this i should of guessed, Also does it state what they do to alicorns that aren't born within the elite nad rich? i'm pretty sure alicorns besides the princesses are born" She asked as she looked down at the ground she has to wonder though how would one stop this? the elites are more than likely to have extremely powerful unicorns or even alicorns or the elites are alicorns themselves whichever the case is stopping them may be near impossible. "Glad we didn't become mindless sheep like the others " she said.

"...Oh." Laserbolt slumped, then he seemed to think of an idea. "So... if the Elements are being controlled by the Crystal Heart as well... then maybe if we could convince them to try one of these hat doohickeys on, we could loosen its grip on them." He shrugged. "It's worth a shot, at least." It seemed like he was less interested in what these unnamed "elites" were planning, and more interested on making some sort of plan to thwart it. "Pinks would probably be the easiest, since she'd probably think we were joking, and go along with it."

Truth Seeker shook his head. "I don't know. I don't think there are others, but if there are, they would be either controlled or dead, or driven away somewhere else. And even if they existed, The Powers That Be have an iron grip on the mortal folk of the world. Unless somepony decided to take absolute control, and basically become the new Powers That Be, there's not much that brute force can do to change things..."
He grinned. "But from inside, by agents they don't expect? That, I think, can change the world."
Lyra sighed. "It does sound like it should be that simple, doesn't it? But the thing is, the Rainbow of Light is one of those impartial tools that have real limits to what it can do. Loyalty through control, Laughter mandated, Generosity through welfare, Honesty through laws and strict enforcement, Kindness through a nanny state, and Friendship through the Government's programs. By twisting the meaning of the Elements, their power can be deflected, or even used maliciously. After all, while to you and me it is 'wrong' to forcefully turn thinking, intelligent adult ponies into giggling helpless obedient foals, if you look at it from a strictly utilitarian viewpoint, it does increase 'harmony'. To The Powers That Be, the rules of magic are merely more laws, more red tape, another bureaucracy - and you know how efficiently the Elites can find loopholes in anything that has so much as a single rule in it."

Laserbolt frowned, then, the grin came back. "So, if they're using harmony as a weapon..." He paused for a moment, and let out a little chuckle, followed by a boisterous laugh. "Our best bet... is to use chaos! Oh, I knew one day the ball would be in my court. What plans do you have, if any? We need to get this ball rolling!" He began pacing, a manic smile plastered on his face, then did a heel turn towards the door. "Wait, sorry, I gotta get some stuff from the lab. Be back in a bit!" Then, he stopped, and turned back to Lyra, stamping his hooves.. "Um... do you want to do the locks? Real quick?" It seemed like that one little word set him off into a whirlwind of activity.

" I see..." she said looking down at the ground she would tell him she had wings if they waren't in a place where there's other mindless ponies that might freak out or something she then looked at Truth Seeker again. "So i guess maybe we should know more about the elites before trying to stop them? hmm if the elites really run equestria would that mean Princess Luna and Celestia aren't needed? " she asked.

Lyra smiled grimly. "Fight order with chaos? It sounds so simple, but what will you do when you do topple the elites?"
She got up and unlocked the door, but turned to Laserbolt with a look of concern on her face. "The aims of these three groups are entirely irreconcilable. The aim of the High is to remain where they are. The aim of the Middle is to change places with the High. The aim of the Low, when they have an aim -- for it is an abiding characteristic of the Low that they are too much crushed by drudgery to be more than intermittently conscious of anything outside their daily lives -- is to abolish all distinctions and create a society in which all men shall be equal. Thus throughout history a struggle which is the same in its main outlines recurs over and over again. For long periods the High seem to be securely in power, but sooner or later there always comes a moment when they lose either their belief in themselves or their capacity to govern efficiently, or both. They are then overthrown by the Middle, who enlist the Low on their side by pretending to them that they are fighting for liberty and justice. As soon as they have reached their objective, the Middle thrust the Low back into their old position of servitude, and themselves become the High. Presently a new Middle group splits off from one of the other groups, or from both of them, and the struggle begins over again. Of the three groups, only the Low are never even temporarily successful in achieving their aims. It would be an exaggeration to say that throughout history there has been no progress of a material kind. Even today, in a period of decline, the average pony being is physically better off than he was a few centuries ago. But no advance in wealth, no softening of manners, no reform or revolution has ever brought pony equality a millimetre nearer. From the point of view of the Low, no historic change has ever meant much more than a change in the name of their masters. That is the history of this world. It's not just Equestria, it's the whole world. The Griffons, the Zebras. The thing is... sentient creatures seem to be inherently greedy. And, paradoxically in a sense, inherently caring for their closest friends and relatives. Combine this with power and wealth, and things become an endless cycle of rich ponies getting richer, poor ponies getting poorer, connected ponies moving up and less-connected ponies moving down. In a way, we're just fighting an updated version of the Three Tribes. But look at what happened afterwards. Revolution, and then a new line of nobility. And before all this, in the Second Age? Legend has it that even there, there was inequality, perhaps even more than now. What exactly are you planning to do?"
Truth Seeker leaned back thoughtfully. "They still raise the sun and the moon, which is convenient, but looking at the big picture... the three tribes did manage to raise the sun and moon by themselves in the past. The unicorns, at least. The pegasi formed what could be called a 'middle class', and the earth pony peasants farmed the land in exchange for not getting attacked. 'Protection tax', I believe the old term was. It would be inconvenient to the elite, not having the Sisters around as figureheads... but that's not to say that They aren't disposable to The Powers That Be. But to me... I think the Sisters are some of our most valuable allies, to be honest. I really do think that Princess Luna deeply cares for the well-being of the common pony; after all, She even watches after our dreams at night, and hasn't stopped ever since She returned."

" she asked not only that Luna was the only pony besides her parents to know she's an alicorn.
