Bingo paused mid-bite and stared between the badge and familiar humanoid for a few moments. He raised an eyebrow, but cautiously took the badge and put it in one of his vest's button-up pockets. It was clearly important to her--who appeared to be one of the wizards from last night, though he had been drunk and thought she was a pony--but Bingo couldn't care less why she needed him to hold onto an old family heirloom for a while. The halfling had a spare pocket to hold it and a crumpet to finish.
At Asha's question, which Bingo didn't seem to register, Silentium shook his head. Fides responded with an equally negative "I don't believe so." After a momentary pause, the squire squinted. "By the way, weren't you a..." Fides stopped when Silentium gave him a firm nudge on the side. "Forgive me, it is nothing important. Please forget that I spoke."

Asha looks to Fides and says, "You are correct young squire, Fides. I am and was a Pegasus yesterday. This is my hybrid form. My father was a magi human and my mother a purebred Pegasus. I, at first, didn't want to show it but I kind of like this form. It lets me use my weapons a bit easier and my magic flows more normally. Before my wing incident I was, what my mother called, a Prodigal Flier. I was the first to be born in years. But enough about my history. Lets eat and then be on our way. I have enough for basic needs and any healing items I may want to make I can find the ingredients for while we are out doing this mission." Asha sits at the table and begins to have her meal. Despite being in humanoid form She still eats very much like a Pegasus pony. She has no meats on her plate what so ever. She may have eggs or meat substitutes but no real meat can be seen on her plate.
{Current Form Look:}Same Design. Colors are Trim: Silver, Main color: Cyan, Belly-button Gem Shape: Twin Wings shaped from diamond. Asha looks to bingo and says, " Bingo, That item is an old Pegasus wonderbolt badge. It has the power to ward anypony or anybody from the effects of weather. Be it from a natural or unnatural force. It was my 3rd great grandmother's. Her name was Rainbow Dashia. To be honest with you all, I have yet to decide on a final name for myself, as a Pegasus rite of passage into adulthood. But in time I may figure one out. I am thinking, I might go with Tienasha Dashia Stormcloud." Asha continues her meal till she is full. She even pays for herself to eat two to three more helpings of the food. she seams to be needing allot of energy now.

Fides nodded his thanks at Asha's explanation. When Bingo heard that this badge he'd been given care of could ward off a miserably rainy day, he felt a bit more appreciative of Asha (who really HAD been a pegasus last night, maybe he wasn't that drunk?) and passed her a heavily buttered crumpet in a weird sort of groggy morning 'thank you' gesture. "They don't make these in greater number?" he asked between bites.

Asha accepted his thanks and offered him a plate of her favorite food, Cupcakes and Buttered muffins. She says, "If ya aren't a morning person, Then have something sweet to wake ya. These are my favorites. I tend to be like mother. I eat these anytime I can and because I workout so much, I burn all that excess off in no time flat."
Asha seams to be having a good time eating with everyone. She hasn't looked this happy at all within the group. When they saw her yesterday, her smile looked forced but today she seams genuinely happy. Asha, after realizing what she herself had said, Lets out a hearty laugh.

The archmage smiled at the group getting along so well, then nodded at Bane. "Very good then. And I will take care of Bingo's needs, I think. Nellie and I packed enough supplies for supporting a few more individuals, just in case. Well then, as soon as we're all done eating, let's be off! I think we should be able to arrive in Orod Khazad by nightfall, and then make the trip to Rakazath's Folly at dawn tomorrow. If all goes well, we should encounter no problem along the way, despite the proximity to the Wastelands. If not..."
He gestured to the group of formidable fighters. "I'm sure we can handle most threats."
Nellie spoke up, levitating out a map. "Think of this as a sort of practice run for the journey west. We'll certainly be able to make stops along the way, but it's best to move quickly as possible without sacrificing caution. It's a safe enough route that we can hone our skills and practice sparring if we've let our skills go rusty over the recent months or years."
She unrolled the scroll and pointed out their path, along an ancient highway. "The most direct route would take us through Fairfields, but Paragonis isn't sure that would be the quickest route. Instead, both of us would say that the more relatively level highway from Thalassana to the Great Road, and then east to Orod Khazad would be faster and less tiring. I'm sorry, Bingo, the Fairfield roads are purposely hard to travel on and treacherous."
I know you'd be sorely tempted to just make the trip there and simply refuse to leave once we got there too, she did not say, though it was on everyone's mind.

Asha Finished her meal quickly grabbing her gear and saying, "So is everypony ready? I would love to, As my great grandmother's friend once said, Get this show on the road."
Asha is really excited and one can tell her mood compared to yesterday has done a complete 180.

"I have no problems with this plan, and I don't mind a bit of sparring every now and then." Bane gets up and secure is pack to make sure everything is in order. "Let's get going before we all get bored."

Bingo swallowed the last of his crumpet and, to everyone's surprise, shrugged. "I suppose it will be a much-needed vacation... I need time for my neighbors' heads to cool anyway. As long as I don't starve, I won't complain," he replied. At that, Fides quietly began packing extra crumpets into a spare bag while Silentium finished his own meal.

The two wizards from the City of Wonders stood immediately, Paragonis putting on his robe and wide-brimmed hat and Nellie putting on her saddlebags and cloak before stepping out onto the cobbled roads of Thalassana. The old man passed a generous pouch of gold coins to Hopsman Burdock as he went past, as a token of gratitude for the good service.
Once they were on the road proper, the archmage swung into the saddle of the Earth pony, who could walk much faster and longer than the old man would otherwise be able to and provide forward movement while Paragonis watched the back and sides for signs of trouble. He motioned for Bingo to climb up as well, since the halfling wasn't exactly used to long journeys on foot, and in any case was more likely to slow down the group than help in case of emergencies.
All in all, they seemed somewhat of a strange herd; all they really lacked was a dwarf to complete the odd ensemble of races and nationalities. Paragonis, in his dusty robe and hat, staff at the ready, looked very much his part as archmage and wizard, while Nellie had a light in her eyes that would have scared off most goblins that saw her.
Paragonis thought for a moment, smiling a bit to himself, then began to sing softly.
"The road goes ever on and on, Down from the road where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone, And I must follow if I can:
Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it meets some larger way Where many paths and errands meet, And whither then? I cannot say."
Nellie joined in the song with a smile.
"Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well!"

Asha walks with them for a while before she starts to look a bit giddy. Shortly after she takes to the sky and starts doing basic aerial stunts. For the type of wings she has she surely can move in the sky. But for her these tricks were for more then show. It was her aerial patrol pattern. It wasn't noticeable by those who walked the ground but for those in the sky or had keen eye sight, she was using her wings in ways only a true Pegasus could. Even though her wings were made of mostly synthetic material now and shouldn't be functional at all. As she does her tricks in the air she watches the road ahead and looks out for trouble to give better warning then most could give from the ground. She has at this time her storm katana out and held in two hands like a kendo master before a duel.
((Currently in flight status. Maneuverability is good on clear calm days or average any other time.))

Bane walks with the group, keeping his pace with the others. He looks up and seems to admire Asha's aerial stunts. Though he isn't much enjoying the song of which Paragonis and Nellie are singing. He falls a little behind to avoid hearing too much of it. Not one for singing, I had enough of bards these days. May have to send a message soon to my friends and allies, especially Elden. Hopefully one of them will send a message back to me.

Bingo mounted up with Paragonis as instructed, while Silentium climbed aboard Fides. The armored pair took a defensive position on the forward right edge of the formation.
Bingo felt like something was being torn away from him on the inside... but when the group passed through the gates and he could see the road ahead, the sensation faded, leaving him almost excited for the journey ahead. He'd never admit that excitement to anyone, of course...

The journey along the path to the Great Road was fortunately uneventful, and they were well on their way towards the southern shore of the Great Sea by the time the noontide sun was high in the sky and beaming down on the travelers. Paragonis had cast a shading spell, which fortunately kept them from being dazzled by the blazing light on the road reflected into their eyes, and Nellie was harrumphing about the state of the highways as she walked along. Apparently, according to her, all roads used to be as smooth as polished stone, not just the ancient highways of the Ancients; it seemed almost unbelievable, that anyone would go to the trouble of chiseling mile upon mile of stone and baking tons of clay just so they didn't have ruts in an ordinary road, but then, the Ancients were rather odd back in the day - they could afford to be, if half the stories said about them were true.
For his part, the older wizard simply listened and smiled knowingly at his friend's frustration, but said little if anything at all. His mind seemed to be elsewhere, which was just as well, seeing as that the road was sure to be unpredictable, and having a well-crafted series of plans ahead of time increased chances of success dramatically.

Bingo quietly admired the scenery as they rode along, not particularly taking notice of the conversations. He was, effectively, in his own world of daydreaming. It someone were to say his name, the halfling would likely jump out of his skin.
Silentium and Fides had been admiring the scenery as well, but both were quite a bit more attentive to the sounds and road around them. Fides heard Nellie's voiced discomfort about the road and responded to it. "It's not much, but the armor coating my hooves increases one's hoofprint and makes it harder to twist an ankle. Would you like to try them on, milady?" he suggested.

Asha had flown for quite some time. Even now she seems to not want to come down. but she does lower herself into the range of the shade spell despite the fact her flight goggles prevent the glare anyways. She sheaths her katana and drinks from her water skin. The small amount of water the does make it past her mouth showers the group bellow with a cooling mist. She doesn't notice it but she is making the excess water mist passively.
