Micro: Tanaka Kazuki never asked to be the only son of an abusive father. He hated Konomachi City, he hated the high school he attended, he hated Neighpon. But then he met a filly standing at the bottom of a hill, and life begins to change...
Normal: Welcome to Konomachi City, and the very unoriginally named Konomachi North High School. You've all grown up here, in different parts of town, and don't necessarily know each other. You're first-year students in the same homeroom. Everypony wears the same uniform for colts and the same uniform for fillies. Unlike in Equestria (or actually, like Equestria's elementary schools) the teachers come to the homeroom rather than the students going to the classrooms, so everypony gets about the same sort of education. No powers. This can be a boring story, or it can be an exciting, a heartbreaking, a crazy or even a heartwarming story. It's your choice how things progress. But note that there *will* be consequences for every action. Interaction is the key! Love, reject, befriend and fight, compete and win and lose. This is life. This is KAZOKU.

No powers. At all. In fact, I'm just going to say, mandatory to be a relatively physically weak Earth pony (by relatively, I mean you can't do anything that a high school student can't in real life, physically. But if you know karate, you can probably punch through wood.)
Yes, you *can* adapt existing characters by simply depowering them and tweaking their race.
No trolling. Violators banned.
No powerplaying.
No godmodding. This includes making yourself a "genius martial artist who skipped all of elementary school", etc.
You *may* reference real-life religions, but *please* do not start an argument on it.
No religious powers either. That includes exorcism, blessing, cursing, scrying, miracles, etc etc.
