It is the 31st Millennium, the Age of Glory for Ponykind.
The God-Empress Celestia, supreme leader of the Equestrian Race, has begun a grand voyage to the stars to reclaim worlds that ponykind once held as mementos of home.
Spearheading her armies of genetically advanced warriors, the Space Mares, are her Primares, gods and goddesses amongst mortals, whose very presence on the battlefield can turn the tides of war.
Powerful in both mind and body, a Primare is everything their Legion personifies, from the straightforward and honest warfare of Applejack's Iron Hooves to the covert nature of Sombra's Shadow Hunters, but they were not ever without need of guidance.
In recent months the God Empress has travelled between the Legions, tasking them with expanding the boarders of Equestrian space whilst she completed her own projects back on Ancient Equestria, birthplace of all ponykind. In her absence, a new position was implemented.
Warmistress.
The honour of such a title, to lead each individual legion in the Empress' absence was granted to none other than Luna, Celestia's equal in both mind and power. There were those who doubted the choice, even within her own Legion, that she was not ready to accept such a title.
That all changed in the final days of Antillios IV...
