Wavelength appeared deep in thought... then shook his head, almost violently. "All right, I'm in, as long as you don't keep tryin' to make sense of all this. I'm an engineer... I solve practical problems, not... whatever all this is. I know who I am and how to behave, and that's all I care to know," he replied. "And 'afore I forget, what the hay is a froyo?"

"And 'afore I forget, what the hay is a froyo?"Laserbolt's ear twitched at the very strangely familiar phrase Wave had just said. He turned, and took a couple steps forward, raised a hoof, then lowered it. "Um... frozen yogurt. That's what froyo is." The effects of being transported to this new world must have done a number on him. The helmet of his suit came back up, and a spike extended from one of the hooves, which he jammed into an AC unit nearby, giving his suit the appearance of a thundercloud, about to burst. "Alright, let's get goin'. Maybe Windigo's got some sort of map type thing we can use. Those are always helpful."

"Sounds all right to me," Wavelength shrugged as the Patriot faceplate returned to its standard position. He hopped off the roof, fired his engines for a fourth of a second just before hitting the ground, and bled off the remaining speed with a roll. Laserbolt got the sneaking suspicion that Wavelength didn't plan to fly all the way to their destination.

It had taken a little time for the pony to become used to his prehensile appendages, what being seemingly welded to his spinal column, but after marveling their lifting capacity by hoisting a dumpster into the air and the means of which they increased his overall speed, a spangled gallop was utilised and carried him from one end to the other in a short amount of time. The voices still wouldn't stop, but they could, with effort, be supressed into something less obnoxious. He seemed to keep his body heat even in cold spots like this, the position of the stars indicated it was around Autumn Eve, but he never seemed to get cold.
Interesting.
What was also curious was the sudden flash of light from the top of a structure, something important perhaps? Followed by the sound of thrusters engaging. The resulting wind blew a tattered page into his leg, colourful and bright depicting an armoured warrior battling an eight legged pony which looked as remarkably handsome as he. The pony read what he could through soggy page and grime, and at last found the name of the pony was found. The stallion grinned, tossing the page back to its airy prison as he began to climb the wall next to him.
Infernid, what a quaint name.
The flat roof was reached in short time, and Infernid could see two individuals preparing to take off, perhaps if he signalled them down using his arms or some other means of getting their attention he could ask them more about this world. Saying nothing yet, Infernid stood on his hind arms, using the other two to wave in a clear "hey, down here!" movement.

The mare smiled, dropping the "act" slightly to reveal what was for all intents and purposes a starry-eyed young college student, the sort one might expect to find at a Renaissance faire in a goofy outfit like the one she was wearing right now. She had the awkward look of a modern mare obsessed with fantasy books and old ways, who daydreamed of faeries and knights in shining armor, and often tried imitating the mannerisms and speaking styles of ages long past. It was, perhaps, testament to the skills she had learned and her power to absorb knowledge from objects that she didn't have a hysterical fit when she first came here. "My, um, m-my name is Amber," said the mare dressed in an Elf costume. "I was... just an environmentalist. Don't take misunderstand! I wasn't... well, I didn't think of myself as 'radical'. Though looking back with what I know now... I guess I WAS kind of crazy," she admitted, blushing. "At least, I was really into saving the world, you know? Manehattan's polluting the river! Time to wave signs and shout a lot! ...as if that ever really changed anything." She didn't look so elegant and majestic now, which was both relieving and disconcerting at the same time, given how she had talked and acted just moments before. Then again, she was probably an amateur actress too, for all Care knew. "I was on an outing to the Everfree Forest to study the environmental impact of logging on the local wildlife when it happened. One moment, I was running through the woods, and the next... I was..." She took a deep breath, and her magic shimmered as she purposely put herself back in the role of Lady for a moment to control her emotions. "Excuse me for a moment. I was about to have a fit of hysterics, which would be... unbecoming of my image if the maids heard." After a few deep breaths, she dropped the act again, wiping a few tears from now-reddened eyes. "I was in an unfamiliar room, body aching everywhere, and there was this maid calling me 'milady' and everything. I didn't know what to think, but..." She looked at her hooves. "I had this feeling, you know? That I COULD know what to think, and how to act. That there was this... I don't know... SCRIPT that I could turn to if I was lost. So I did. I guess having the power to read 'your' own memories just by touching your bed can be useful after all. 'I' had lived here so long that 'my' memories were practically filling the place to the brim, and I guess a few semesters of theater class helped too. Ever since then... I guess I'd just been assuming this was some sort of really, really weird dream, or that I'd hit my head or something and everything was some sort of metaphor for something. It... um... kept me... sane. Ish." She swallowed, then jolted as if just now remembering Care's request. "Oh! Right, tea! Sorry, I just... um... hold on a moment." Her form shimmered once again into that of the Lady of the Enchanted Woods, and the enchantress looked upon the bark of the towering tree with eyes that saw the first nut and acorn grow and multiply. Rather than servants, this time only the tray and tea set came, held up and moved about by glowing will-o-the-wisps seemingly controlled by the Lady's will. This would not have been too impressive, save for the fact that the Lady was a pegasus in form, and in the world they both knew before, would not have been capable of telekinesis magic. The tea was, of course, extraordinarily delicious and unique in its taste, the finest in the world, crafted and perfected over many thousands of years by unaging hooves from leaves that never wither, grown in the heart of the Citadel of Nature. Care smiles and says, " Well amber, it does seam that we both are not from here naturally. When I was younger, I use to be a big comic book fan girl. My favorite character in the books was the one I now hold as my persona here. Back in Equestria I am a doctor for Canterlot General Care. I can usually be found either on the I.C.U. or in the E.R. It was because I idolized The Vanishing Caretaker that I tried my hoof at healing and well got my cutie mark in healing. It seams now I fill her role and follow the idol that taught me what healing was all about. It can be to save lives but if use the wrong way it can also be used to take lives as well." Care slips back into her role as The Vanishing Caretaker and says, " After this cup, may I take a look at those wounds of yours? Maybe even treat them a bit so they aren't a bother anymore. Then we can se why my pack is pinging like crazy at this moment." Care accepts the new cup of tea and sips it still with her Canterlot like nature. Afterwards, she gets herself ready to tend to the lady of the forest once more and waits for her agreement or if she says no she is fine.

North Windigo ((Eeyup)) flew down to where Wavelength was and said, "I know the way. When I became Windigo, our memories fused and I know where to go from here."

Saying nothing yet, Infernid stood on his hind arms, using the other two to wave in a clear "hey, down here!" movement. Laserbolt turned, seeing something moving in the distant. He grinned, and shouted down to Wavelength and North Wind. "Hey, you guys! There's someone over here, they may help us out!" He jumped off the building, gliding over to the shape in the distance. As he landed, his eyes fell upon the pony who he... somehow recognized. And he knew once it came to him, he would not like it.

North Wind looked up and saw Laserbolt calling out to him. Quickly, he flew down to where Laser was and asked "What is it?"

Wavelength tracked Laserbolt's direction of gliding and casually started trotting that way on street level, using audio sensors to make sure he didn't pass the group by when he reached their building. Meanwhile within his helmet, the earth pony himself was cycling through every window of his armor's heads-up display, exploring all the familiar readouts and functions that his mind told him existed but his eyes had yet to see for themselves.

Amber smiled and nodded shyly, allowing the physician to examine her for injuries. It was evident that her current body was very used to battle, bearing many notable scars of war. Fortunately, due to the skills of the Elvish Healers, as well as Care's own skills, the traces were very faint, and almost all internal and completely harmless. Currently, the most serious injury was some sort of tumor or growth that had apparently manifested INSIDE her skull, though thankfully the Healers had already taken care of that, and quickly. That would explain, in their current universe at least, the temporary amnesia that the Lady had suffered. Already, the remarkable ability for Faeries to heal from almost any injury was causing the formation of new neural connections over the broken ones, visible under the Vanishing Caretaker's see-through-walls ability.

Care does her examination and does some minor healing to make sure the lady was at full power for her people. "There I must say, your healers are very capable. Their skill is equal to or surpassing my own. Maybe sometime I can learn from them and they from me so that in the end we both may be stronger from it."
As Care is tending to the lady, her pack begins to give off a signal the lady recognizes as a beacon call system. A version of her own messaging system that, when used, can contact just about anypony in the world that is remembered by the system. Care taps a device on her headset and listens. she then says into the mic piece of the headset, "thank you Careina . message received and will be on my way once I am done here."
She looks to the lady and says, "Do you know a pony called Siphon? He just sent out a call for a gathering of some sort. Careina intercepted it and then on a more secure signal sent me a message about it. Shall we return the call with one of our own? or should we go and meet them?"

Infernid ceased waving the moment the first pony landed across the roof, retracting the limbs into a polite walk.
"Ah, good evening sir." he said, brushing some errant dust from his body as his cloak blew in the gentle breeze "I was perhaps wondering if you have any idea as to where I am? I have only just arrived and beyond making my legs work..." he wiggled his legs for emphasis "...I have had nary the time to discover much about my predicament, other than that I appear to be a comic book character named Infernid." The voices started up feedbitebitewebstingitstingit again as his eye caught a spider which had just caught a fly in it's web and was preparing to eat the hapless insect.
Interesting, though mere coincidence was not the basis for fact. He would, however, keep an eye out for any arachnids, just to be sure.
Infernid turned back as another pony leaped onto the roof next to the stallion across from him, and by the decor of his outfit it seemed his powers revolved around ice or crystals. He nodded curtly all the same, though he couldn't help but extend his legs a little, just in preparation for conflict.

The mare thanked Care and resumed her glamour and poise. This girl sure knew how to play a role. Maybe she was an actor at one point.
"Siphon... yes, he is known to me. Though if he has called a meeting of heroes, this must be a very grave situation indeed."
She looked wistfully over the Citadel of Nature.
"I fear for my homeland. Who knows whether my brother might attack once more? Who knows what hideous, unspeakable cruelties he might inflict upon the forest? Ever we keep watch, and ever the Rot creeps onward, devouring, consuming. How shall this conflict end? Even I cannot solve this riddle. But I have a feeling that simply eternally resisting will no longer suffice. I know the risks of leaving my home, but I trust the Children of Nature to take care of the Enchanted Forest in my stead. We shall go to the meeting of heroes. May Harmony protect us all."
She made a strange, warbling call like that of a bird, and several Elves dressed in living uniforms appeared as if from nowhere and saluted with hoof over chest.
"You are to keep watch over the Citadel and the Forest in my leave. Siphon has called a meeting of heroes, and he never calls a meeting unless it is a matter of utmost importance. I leave at once. See to it that the troops are mustered and ready for ANYTHING. I fear my brother may soon attack, and with a force even greater than the last."
"Understood, Milady," said their commander, who turned to the rest. "Nature Endures."
"Nature Endures! For Harmony!"
Lady Amber smiled at the Vanishing Caretaker. "Have you a means of flight, or would you be willing to ride upon my back? Or perhaps we may find a mode of transport more to your tastes?"

Care says, "I parked my car just outside the forest as to respect the land that heals with time. if you will let me ride till there I believe we can make it to him from there. Hope this pack of mine isn't too heavy for you. I tend to have it with me most of the time. it is what I do after all."
Care waits for Amber to allow for her to ride. then makes appropriate actions so they can be on their way. Care thinks to herself, "I do hope that this isn't going to be a bad idea to call this gathering. I know the power ponies have vanished. But to call something like this is just unheard of without an explanation as to why. I hope this isn't one of those heroes gather and it is a trap kind of thing."

Although... hm. Never mind, it's not that big a deal. Hey, listen, have you seen anything weird around?" Down the street, a couple of ponies were walking out of a hospital, one of them carrying a folder. One of them tapped on the other's shoulder, and pointed to the group. The second one's eyes widened, and they began to walk quickly away.
