Wavelength was a bit baffled. Was this some kind of mass-dream shared by more than one pony at a time? Of course, there was the more sensible chance that his dreaming mind decided to throw in someone asking him that. ...But he remembered the entire run over here... a dream probably would have skipped that part. He decided to play along. "Yeah, that's about it. You know somethin' about it?" he asked, sliding his faceplate back to cover the top of his head. Laserbolt could, indeed, recall seeing this gold earth pony around Ponyville. He'd moved in nearly a decade ago with his family.

Laserbolt also remembered his original thoughts being "I've got some competition from that guy." He was happy that this was the guy who got Patriot. Wave was one of the smartest ponies he knew of, which definitely put the two of them at an advantage. "Well, I'm not sure how it happened, but I think I know why it happened. Let's start off with this; do you read Wondrous Comics?"

Wavelength stared at Laserbolt. "...Comics?" he repeated. "What, like a... a..." he tapped his chin, trying to come up with something. "One 'a those stage plays where they try to make the audience laugh?" he shrugged.

"No... no, it's like... really? You don't know what comics are?" Laserbolt looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

Wavelength didn't look like he thought he was missing out on anything. "Well, enough gettin' off topic about comical stuff. Whatchya know about this situation?" he asked, trying to bring what he thought was a side-tracked conversation back on-topic.

"Well, it's actually kind of important. Essentially, they're pictures with words that tell stories, with superpowered ponies, some are heroes, some are villains. We seem to have gotten heroes, and that leads me to the conclusion that some villains are probably about to do... something. The law of stories dictates that when something changes dramatically, it's to stop something worse from happening." He stopped for a moment, thinking to himself. "Is... do you get this?"

A transparent Pegasus in a superhero outfit appeared out of the rooftop as if he somehow passed through it. The Pegasus flashed briefly and then became solid. He turned to Laserbolt/Siphon and said "Did you call me or something? Because my watch all of the sudden started bleeping and an arrow started pointing in this direction."

Laserbolt turned to the pegasus, with a surprised look on his face. "Woah. Quite a turn out. You're... don't tell me... Windigo, right?"

"I think so; it's been a long time since I read the comic book, and I only remember one character, who's body I'm in right now. Anyways, why'd you set off the beacon?"

"Well, the basics is, everything in comics happens for a reason. I think we were pulled here from Equestria, so that we can stop some kind of horrible thing from happening. I have no idea what it is, but I think we may find out soon. However, we have to keep the fact that we aren't actually who we appear to be secret from the people who actually live here." Laserbolt took a deep breath, out of breath from the tirade.

"Maybe we should head back to Windigo's/My base. There's a secret lab, so we can figure out how to use our powers. Also, it has a froyo machine."

Lady Amber smiled softly at the mare's request. "Very well, then, Care. And I have not forgotten, or rather, I have un-forgotten, whichever way you wish to look at the situation."
It didn't feel like they had walked all that far, but for some reason they were now at the top of one of the living towers of wood and bark, looking over the wide expanse of green that was the Citadel of Nature and the Enchanted Woods surrounding it. Far away, on the horizon, they could barely make out the tinge of red where the Children of Rot held sway over both earth and sky.
"Wherefore have you done all this, Brother?" she asked, almost to herself. "Wherefore all this anger, all this... cruelty, this madness that drives you to ever greater transgressions? Have you forgotten the oath you once took, to unite all life together in peace and harmony, doing away with the bickerings and misunderstandings that plague those of lesser lifespans?"
The Lady of Riddles thought deeply over this, never guessing the ultimate, diabolic plan of the unspeakably eldritch creature which did masquerade as a god to the fallen Elf that long since had taken up the dread title of Lord Plague. Sighing, the faerie turned to her guest, beckoning to the bark of the tree. As if passing through it, a few maids came, bringing chairs and tea for the Lady and the Vanishing Caretaker both.
Sitting and sipping her tea, Lady Amber closed her eyes a moment to savor the taste before directly addressing Care once again. "In answer to your question, yes, Swift Arrow is healing quite well, thanks to your skills. As am I, at least, that is how I sense things are. But there are certain matters to discuss. For instance..."
She made a motion with a hoof, and the maids returned to the room that wasn't there before, quietly closing the door behind them to give the Lady and her guest some privacy. The enchantress leaned forward, looking thoughtfully into the mare's eyes.
"You made mention earlier of having a similar... episode, perhaps paralleling mine. Now, I will not make assumptions, nor pry overmuch, but if I am not quite mistaken... it may, perhaps, be said that both of us... both are, and... are 'not' of this world in mind and soul. Is this not so, friend both old and new? For I would that we be friends, if you would accept it."

Is this not so, friend both old and new? For I would that we be friends, if you would accept it." Care smiled and said, " I am glade to know she is doing well. I had this feeling I wasn't the only one. If we could, for a moment, step out of our current roles and talk of things not to this world? what strikes me as odd is the fact that this all seams more like a waking dream then real. I know more of my nature then of what I can use and do. Do you know what I mean? It has been hard but I seam to know allot more about healing here then on the other side of the rainbow. Do you get this same feeling?" Care drinks her tea with a caring touch only known to the nobles of Canterlot. Her posture definitely dictates one not of this world normally. Her refined manner and how she handles herself all shows one of high class. She waits for the answers from Amber while enjoying the fine tea of the enchanted woods. " May I have some more, please? This tea is some of the best I have had in my entire life. How is it made? if you don't mind sharing the recipe with an outsider like myself." She says holding out in a refined manner her cup. She pauses for a moment and says, " After our chat, you wouldn't mind if I looked at your newest wounds? would you?"

The mare smiled, dropping the "act" slightly to reveal what was for all intents and purposes a starry-eyed young college student, the sort one might expect to find at a Renaissance faire in a goofy outfit like the one she was wearing right now. She had the awkward look of a modern mare obsessed with fantasy books and old ways, who daydreamed of faeries and knights in shining armor, and often tried imitating the mannerisms and speaking styles of ages long past. It was, perhaps, testament to the skills she had learned and her power to absorb knowledge from objects that she didn't have a hysterical fit when she first came here.
"My, um, m-my name is Amber," said the mare dressed in an Elf costume. "I was... just an environmentalist. Don't take misunderstand! I wasn't... well, I didn't think of myself as 'radical'. Though looking back with what I know now... I guess I WAS kind of crazy," she admitted, blushing. "At least, I was really into saving the world, you know? Manehattan's polluting the river! Time to wave signs and shout a lot! ...as if that ever really changed anything."
She didn't look so elegant and majestic now, which was both relieving and disconcerting at the same time, given how she had talked and acted just moments before. Then again, she was probably an amateur actress too, for all Care knew.
"I was on an outing to the Everfree Forest to study the environmental impact of logging on the local wildlife when it happened. One moment, I was running through the woods, and the next... I was..."
She took a deep breath, and her magic shimmered as she purposely put herself back in the role of Lady for a moment to control her emotions.
"Excuse me for a moment. I was about to have a fit of hysterics, which would be... unbecoming of my image if the maids heard."
After a few deep breaths, she dropped the act again, wiping a few tears from now-reddened eyes.
"I was in an unfamiliar room, body aching everywhere, and there was this maid calling me 'milady' and everything. I didn't know what to think, but..."
She looked at her hooves.
"I had this feeling, you know? That I COULD know what to think, and how to act. That there was this... I don't know... SCRIPT that I could turn to if I was lost. So I did. I guess having the power to read 'your' own memories just by touching your bed can be useful after all. 'I' had lived here so long that 'my' memories were practically filling the place to the brim, and I guess a few semesters of theater class helped too. Ever since then... I guess I'd just been assuming this was some sort of really, really weird dream, or that I'd hit my head or something and everything was some sort of metaphor for something. It... um... kept me... sane. Ish."
She swallowed, then jolted as if just now remembering Care's request. "Oh! Right, tea! Sorry, I just... um... hold on a moment."
Her form shimmered once again into that of the Lady of the Enchanted Woods, and the enchantress looked upon the bark of the towering tree with eyes that saw the first nut and acorn grow and multiply. Rather than servants, this time only the tray and tea set came, held up and moved about by glowing will-o-the-wisps seemingly controlled by the Lady's will. This would not have been too impressive, save for the fact that the Lady was a pegasus in form, and in the world they both knew before, would not have been capable of telekinesis magic.
The tea was, of course, extraordinarily delicious and unique in its taste, the finest in the world, crafted and perfected over many thousands of years by unaging hooves from leaves that never wither, grown in the heart of the Citadel of Nature.
