I have an idea for an RP where the Equestrian government passes a law that all half-breed ponies (part pony, part other) will be arrested and have to flee. Also, I'm thinking about an RP where the OC's discover they have superpowers and get recruited by the Power Ponies to be the next generation of superhero.
P.S. I'm sorry if I should've put this thread in the roleplay board.
P.P.S. Feel free to add to the list or give your opinion on existing ideas.

Tyrant Celestia and the Orderly Six (grimdark adventure): a world where Discord's spree sets off a rash of paranoia, leading to the institution of the MOTHER program: Maintaining Order Through Harmonious Enlightenment of Radicals. Freedom is Chaos. Eliminate Freedom, and you eliminate Chaos. Perfectly Honest. Perfectly Kind. Perfectly Loyal. Perfectly Happy. Perfectly Generous. Perfectly Magic. Your destiny is pre-determined, your life, your thoughts, your feelings all directed by the Crystal Heart and the Six Elements of Perfect Harmony. A Perfect Equestria... A world of tyranny, a world of fear and control. The Cult of Discord takes the opposite side of the world, spreading Chaos, Complete Deception, Complete Cruelty, Complete Betrayal, Complete Wrath, Complete Greed, Complete Enmity. Every pony for herself and Discord take the hindmost. No rules, no limits, no morals. Between these two extremes sit the Remnant, the last of the Free Ponies. Only time will tell if they succeed...
Stallion of the Flies (grimdark psychological/mystery/suspense): a group of young foals shipwreck on an island in the middle of the ocean, far from civilization. Order quickly breaks down, revealing the animal nature of the Beast within all of us...
KAZOKU (tragedy/comedy/romance/slice-of-life): Tanaka Kazuki never asked to be the only son of an abusive father. He hated Konomachi City, he hated the high school he attended, he hated Neighpon. But then he met a filly standing at the bottom of a hill, and life begins to change...
The Mare of Equestria (comedy/adventure): I am I, Donna Lyra, the Lady of Equestria! My Destiny calls, and I go! And the wild winds of Fortune will carry me onwards, whithersoever they blow! Lyra Heartstrings has finally lost it completely. Going about wearing some old beat-up suit of armor from the junkyard, she is the very definition of a madmare. But is she truly mad, or is there something all of us can learn from her valor and chivalry?

This isn't original, but on the LoE forum, Magus made a roleplay called Pony Cosmology: Re-Creation where everypony is a god(ess) and have power over a certain realm and can work together to create a universe with their abilities.

Adventures Across Equestria: go back to the founding pioneer days of Equestria and play as one of the pioneers, fending off wolves and traversing the savage wilderness in search of a homestead to settle down.
Dimension Jumpers: fight and scheme alongside fellow agents in a world where alternate universes discover and ally with each other, bringing conflicts to a multiversal scale.

Both of those sound fun! I remember having fun with Dimension Jumpers, as odd as the experience was at the time, and it would be a blast to do an old-fashioned settler RP!

Well, i do have an non pony RP idea that is based on the lore of Dark Souls Intro for those that do not know what i'm talking about: In the Age of Ancients,The world was unformed, shrouded by fog. A land of grey crags, archtrees, and everlasting dragons. But then there was Fire. And with Fire came Disparity. Heat and cold, life and death, and of course... Light and Dark. Then, from the Dark, They came, and found the Souls of Lords within the flame. Nito, the First of the Dead. The Witch of Izalith, and her daughters of Chaos. Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight, and his faithful knights. And the furtive pygmy, so easily forgotten. So basically, the four lords and their armies fighting the everlasting dragons. Players could decide if they want to be with the lords, and with which one specifically, or if they want to side with the dragons (maybe even be a dragon themselves.) That would be the first part of the RP, the second part would start when and if the lords win, several millennia later, the flame would die and a new dark lord emerges, who would kill the lords one by one and usher in the age of dark.

Galactic Kingdoms - A sci-fi rp set in a galaxy. Players create their own non-playable or playable factions and interact with other factions. Players can also create characters within their own faction or in another player's faction or play as a loner.

Villainous - A traditional fantasy RPG filled with clever magicians, swift rangers and powerful knights, all manner of monsters and generic races dwell around the world, adventures, dungeons, relics of old and more await! Only they don't await us, because we the players are going to be villains - dark wizards, thieves and rogues, champions of darkness, cultists to half-forgotten dark gods and so forth! Be your goals world conquest, be they riches or just glorious slaughter in the names of bloody pagan deities - oppose foolish heroes and goodness' morons
