The pegasus let out a small eep when she saw Alfonso.
Greetings, um, large kinda scary monkey-type person... who is very polite and maybe friendly. I'm Sky Brush, please to...
Wait, I don't remember a tavern like this near Cloudsdale, where...
She sniffs the air.
Is something burning?

Joy looks on over towards the door, though is unable to see the newcomer due to Alfonso standing in the way. The small changeling pouts a little, waiting for his friend to return to his seat so that he may tell him one of his stories.

The Wanderer waved a hoof, and the pegasus's hair was no longer on fire. "Something was. Come, sit with us! Joy here was about to tell us a tale of his past."
Alfonso spun about, bowing. "Ah, mine utmost apologies, milord! Please, do tell thine tale!"

Well, he says, sitting upright and clearing his throat. One time, I was out wandering about in the forest when I found a tasty...um...well, it was food. I was about to start eating when I heard breathing. I looked behind me and saw a wolf, who pushed me over and started sniffing me. He licked me up into his mouth, but I poked him pretty hard with my horn, so he spit me out fast and I got into a nasty fight with him. He tried his hardest to bite and step on me, but I was just a little too fast! I managed to get away from him in a small hole cause I couldn't fly, I was all wet. I threw some dirt in his eye and he left me alone after that. He grins, hoping they liked his little tale.

Alfonso clapped happily at the story. "Bravo! That was quite a brave act, and clever as well! It seems thou hast had quite a life indeed!"
The Wanderer smiled. "To keep one's wit in times of danger is something to be admired. And so even misfortune can turn to cheerful tale with the passage of time."

The Wanderer smiled kindly. "But you survived. That, above all else, is what matters in the end, no?"
Alfonso laughed. "Aye, there be many a pixie and nixie who might have fared worse, there be! Luck and fortune was on thee that day, or I am no fay!"

I think I've been in far worse situations though.

The Wanderer smiled. "All the more reason to admire your courage. You know your strengths and weaknesses, and your situation, and thus act accordingly. All too many overestimate or underestimate their own abilities to deal with the world."

"Excuse me, Mr. adorably tiny changeling. I really liked your story. Could I use it for my next sculpture?"

// I just felt like resuming this. \\
The changeling smiles towards everyone, feeling a bit accomplished from what they have to say. Thanks, and sure. he replies to the pony inquiring about his story.
