I'm just going to say now that I'm going to complain about my family A LOT in this thread, because nobody in my family has anything else to do but tick me off. Like today, my mom decided that I can't take my laptop on our vacation to New Orleans tomorrow, despite having no valid reason to do so, my brother wiped his mouth on my favorite jacket, so I can't take it because my mom doesn't wash clothes fast enough, although I asked her to.

Poise, which is your resistance to being staggered from enemy attacks, is now worthless in Dark Souls 2 unless you wear the heaviest possible armor AND wear a ring that increases your poise.
Even then you could at most tank two or three strikes before being staggered. And those might kill you before then.
