Aldorn moves up and out ahead of the group to make the way clear for them. He inspects the surrounding area then moves on. He looks back at the others. "Let us hurry to the others then. The heating unit I gave them and mine needs to recharge soon, since I had to split the power unit in two. The foals won't last long in the cold once the heat dies."

Frost says, "Remember Aldorn, my dome should have doubled the time for it to wear down. We will be ok as long as we can reach them with in the next day or so. Then it is off back to their new home." Frost was doing the same thing as Aldorn but from the air now. She always would make large circles around the group to insure the Windigoes didn't get the group.

Aldorn looks up at Frost. "We would need to hurry, the seperate heating units I have can only last two days before shutting off. Let us hope the ice does not hold us back from the little ones." Aldorn goes ahead of the group with his rifle and sword ready for any sort of attacks or Windigoes.

The guards nodded, opening the door as the freezing cold swept in once more, slamming against their shields and instantly freezing the air and icing the ground, preserving the holy place for a few more millenia. Lieutenant Warm Hart motioned for the others to go, quickly, then turned to Frost, yelling over the howling wind.
"Could you part the snow for us again, to go back to the cave? I can't see our tracks anymore."
Frost, however, *could* see the lingering warmth in the snow, a clear trail that was growing fainter in the blizzard.

Asterian looked to Octavia, smiling as he thought of his secret. "What do you think? Should I show you what I wish to show you or... should I refrain and tease you?"

Frost nods, channeling her power once more. She moves with the grace of the cold and the agility of the Pegasus she is guiding them back to the cave where the younglings are. She says, "Follow and be not afraid. I will stay low but if the Windigoes show themselves I will do what I can to distract them. You all keep moving. Aldorn provide me with cover from the ground. we will need to be quick. Lets move."
With a beating of her frosted wings, she takes to the air and stays low. She herself acting as a beacon for the ones that need it. She guides them fearlessly and should a enemy show, she does her best to get its attention letting her frost armor hold against its relentless attacks.

Octavia tried to give Asterian a look of supreme indifference, but couldn't hold the expression as a giggle broke out past her lips, making her already-blushing face blush a deeper shade of grey-red.
"If it's not too much trouble, sir!" she said quietly when she had regained her composure, then smiled warmly. "Thank you, Asterian. It.... it means more than you know."

They were making good progress when Frost began to feel that there was a distinct presence nearby. They were passing what seemed to be a rocky mound...
Except there wasn't any mound the last time they were here.
And it was colder than rock should be.
The two Duchy guards quickly backpedaled and drew their swords, which glowed suddenly with a golden magic and a sizzle, localized plasma to burn through most ice-based problems out here, as the massive creature lifted its head and looked the herd in the eyes.
"ICE-DRAKE! YOU PONIES, GET BEHIND US!" barked Captain Swift Blade as he gripped his glowing blade with a claw. "Frost! Aldorn! Any plans?

Aldorn looks at the ice drake and aims his heat rifle at it. "We don't have time for this! Get them to young ones, I'll keep it distract it. Frost, can you keep them protected? We don't know if there are more up ahead. The young ones may be in danger as well, so you must hurry." Aldorn looks at his blade. "Ignitus!" The blade transforms into a fire sword, glowing hot and bright. The surrounding area around Aldorn begins to warm up to the sword. Aldorn takes off his half of the heat pack and gives it to Captain Swift. "Take this and attach it to the other half that is with the little ones. It will fully power itself and will last for a couple more days. Now go!" Aldorn takes his blade and rifle and starts firing at the ice drake to get its attention.

Frost not wanting to leave Aldorn unprotected felt a build up of something inside she calls out, " Frozen Shield! Aldorn this should protect you from cold based abilities and increase your resistance to the cold based weather. when you enter a place of warmth the shield will melt becoming useless. It will also let me keep track of your location. Good Luck" {Frozen Shield!} The cold based ability is only usable on allies other then self. It lasts until one enters a warm area.
This ability grants resistance to cold and natural immunity to weather based cold for the time the shield is up. This shield does not grant any physical defense.
Frost says, " Lets go, he can handle this. My shield will keep him safe for now." Frost guides quickly towards the place of the children. ===Near the cave with the children=== When within sight range of it she says to the guards, handing them the other half of the heating device, " Stay with them. They will need somepony to watch over them till we get back. I have to go help him. I will never leave a friend, old or new, hanging. I will be right back. The children are just inside there. Go, I will return soon with him." With that Frost takes to wing, as fast as she can fly, back to Aldorn. ===Back with Aldorn and the Ice Drake=== When she returns she flies past the drake to snatch its attention away from aldorn to help him get a clear shot. " I couldn't leave you Aldorn. You may be a new friend, but I will never leave my friends hanging."

"Glad to see you here. Now let's end this fast." Aldorn charges straight at the Ice Drake and swings his flame sword, Ignitus, at a downward arc, before slicing it towards its neck. The heat intensifies before it makes contact, allowing the flames to grow stronger and bigger. Once the sword reaches the neck, he pulls the sword out. He aims his heat rifle at the drake and fires a single heat round into it. Aldorn returns to his regular position and sheathes his sword, which turns back to its original form. He reloads the rifle and readies it.

The guards nod, and quickly move to help the surviving adults and the frightened foals.
Outside, the Ice Drake raises itself up to a terrific height, roaring in anger as it whips its neck out of the way of the sword and tries to freeze the ponies with its breath of liquid helium. The liquid instantly turns any air around the ponies into liquids and solids out of cold. It also swings a massive claw, trying to swat Frost out of the sky.

Aldorn goes into an offensive stance and fires off several heat rounds into the drake. "The cold is hindering the process of my blade. It will take time before it can transform." He reloads his gun and fires more rounds into the creature. "I'll keep it busy while you find a way to attack it. If you find any sort of weakness it has, attack it if you can." Aldorn fires a large burst of heat rounds into the creature to keep it distracted.

Frost continues being a annoyance to the Ice drake. Doing her best to keep his focus on her, not Aldorn. She uses her adjustment to the cold and her flight as a Pegasus to her advantage. She barely dodges the drake's claw and comes back by for another feather tickle to the dragon's muzzle. Frost nods and as she makes her pass tries to see any openings in its way of attacking, something that could hinder the creature.

The Ice Drake seems to be more annoyed than hurt by the shots, and flails its claws and tail about, trying to swat or crush the two ponies as they harass it. It sneezes, sending a large cloud of liquid helium at Frost soon after she tickles it.
She can see a slight opening in the creature's belly - parts of it were protected only by ice, and if she could use her powers on it, Aldorn could have a clear shot.

Frost falls back slightly, maneuvering herself for a technical suicide flyby. Utilizing the full power of the cold at her command, she frosts over her wings creating frozen feather shards. After the creature's next failed attempt to knock her out of the sky, she dive charges the Ice-drake, using her flight and gravity to increase her speed to near unmanageable levels. She ducks just under the Drake, flinging the shard daggers into the weak spot trying to open it up for Aldorn to get a clear shot. she realizes that she will in fact impact the ground with no chance of pulling up because of how fast she is going. She quickly reacts to this by drawing on the remaining cold reserves she has and the cold in the air around her to form a frozen sphere shield around her to take the impact while leaving her both drained and vulnerable but physically unharmed. She quickly says to Aldorn, "NOW! The opening in its Ice armor! Hit him there!" With that Frost passes out, only to be quickly covered in ice and snow as the drake thrashes about.
