More goblins screamed along with a few unfortunate wargs as the lightning lept from Asha's shield and into the mob. The fight was starting to attract additional unwanted attention as huge, hulking giants of goblins called Trolls came stomping out of the nearby forest with heavy clubs in their hands, followed by more goblins. Seriously, what on earth was the caravan carrying? Well... aside from a mithril dwarf-engine. That thing probably was worth a pretty penny, seeing as that mithril was a sight more valuable than platinum or gold. But still, was it really valuable enough to attract this many creatures?
On second thought, scratch that. The Giant Spiders are attracted by the light, the Wargs by the food, the Dragons by the big shiny thing and the Goblins by the prospect of a fight. It didn't really matter, in the end; people were in trouble, and the right thing to do was to lend a helping hand and hoof.
A stomp from Nellie sent several wargs flying into the air as the earth beneath them shattered and exploded. Archmage Lord Paragonis the Blue of the High Council stood in his saddle and shouted a word that sliced through the air and made many an ear weep as esoteric sigils appeared around him; another wave of enemies were sliced by invisible blades of blue light sharper than needles.
Emural's appearance on the battlefield brought a strange effect, however. The dragon struggled and whimpered into silence as it was consumed by the darkness, but rather than cower in fear, the goblins began grinning even more and chanting something in their black speech. It sounded like either a name or a title.
"Sharku! Sharku! Sharku! Sharku!"
Several goblins towards the forest screamed before the already-large tumors on their faces suddenly pulsed and burst, spewing spores into the air in a sort of pinkish fog that shrouded the eves of the forest. In the middle of the cloud could be seen a hunched, tumorous goblin's figure, leaning on a crooked staff hung with fetishes and talismans. Beside the figure was a totem of unspeakable materials crudely held together by sharpened sticks and woven grass. The figure muttered a counterspell, and the goblins were overcome with a madness, rushing towards the darkness and leaping upon it with a strange ferocity, eyes bleeding some glowing substance not of this plane.

Asha looks to the large creature that had appeared and says, " Bane! What the buck is that thing?!" she looks to the dwarves and says, " What do yall have on you, or in your caravan, that would cause that thing to come about?" Asha sheaths her shield and draws the storm katana holding it in her main hand. This is unnatural for her. Why would she hold the katana in her main hand. Asha then takes to the air once more. While doing a diving attack, she clashes with one of the Trolls. Her katana hitting with the force of a storm's WIND. {Storm Core Ejection} 9/10 Cores
By unleashing one of the cores stored inside the Katana, and selecting one of the three elements that make a storm, the user can change the weapon's elemental alignment to match the element chosen.
Elements to choose from: ((all effects based on element are at the G.M.'s discretion.)) Fire: the heat that powers the storm Water/Ice: the water/ice that gives the storm rain Wind: The winds of the furious storm.
restriction: Can only be used when wielding the Storm Katana in main hand or in both hands.

Silentium and Fides fought hard to hold the line against attacks on the less defended side of camp, but the pair had only claimed three goblin heads by the time these wizards had killed at least ten apiece. Both knights began to doubt their usefulness on a mission with such terrifying wizards--and the unearthly new threat forming out of the distant fog--but neither hesitated in their defense of the far side of camp.

Emural looks towards the hordes of goblins charging at him. The darkness and the dragon's shadows retracted into Emural. He turns his body towards the goblins and raises his dark steel sword in the air. The sword's shadow extends from side to side. A large shadow blot appears every 3 feet from each other. The shadow stops extending after each side has 6 blots. "Extend my reach and slay my enemies. Shadows to Darkness. Darkness to Steel. Reach out towards the sky and rise from the darkness."
Black steel swords rise from the shadow blots. The blots become smaller as the swords slowly rise. The sword's shadows retract back to the original sword and each sword points towards the sky. Emural brings down his sword; towards group of goblins. The 12 swords do the same. "Now go forth and slay those who wish to threaten me. Slay those who defy me!"
The 12 swords charge straight at the goblins, each fighting against them with fluid movement as if skilled swordsmen were using them. The 12 swords seem to have large shadows holding their shadows, a shadow of a person holding the shadow of the swords. These seem to be the Shadow Guards, to those that know of the Dark Lord's personal servants.

The dwarf growled, shoving another enchanted projectile into the dwarf-engine. "We've got some crystals an' heffies an' lots o' mithril bars fer tradin', but naethin' 'at woulds attract 'at sorta attention, lassie. If ye asks me, it's yer sorcerer mukker wi' th' shadows that's attractin' 'at thing!"
The troll roared as the blade tore at its hide, harder than stone though it was. Even a mountain can be eroded into sand by a fierce and persistent wind, after all.
The two knights, meanwhile, found themselves confronted by a pack of snarling wargs, snapping at them from three sides and trying to grab their legs or get them onto the ground to be torn apart. Those foaming mouths looked rather rabid and crawling with all sorts of sicknesses waiting to happen.
The shadow in the spore cloud muttered another counterspell, and the goblins began to fight with frightening orderliness and skill, unbefitting of their appearances. Yet there was an intelligence now in those glowing eyes, an alien mind that was disgusted with all things which lived and crawled upon this pathetic ball of dust and turned perfection into filth, yet forced itself into the minds and bodies of creatures, uncaring for the vessel which laughed with madness.
Hollow glowing eyes now looked directly at Bane as dozens of mouths spoke simultaneously in syllables of emptiness and decay that caused Nellie to cover her ears and Paragonis to throw up a shield and shout in rage.
I--SEE--YOU.

Asha continued her engagement with the troll realizing her winds had some impact but not enough. she sheaths her mana saber and puts the full force of her strength into the swings that aimed for the troll. All this time she was trying to identify a weak spot on the troll to exploit. Her analyzing skills being able to allow for her evasiveness to be maxed while she made fly by attacks on him.
[[two handed katana with winds sharpening the blade. She now wields her full strength and precision in her attacks. When she was dueling bane she was loosly holding the blade now she has a tight grip on it that forces her attacks to be less likely to hit but if she does land them they are going to hurt. Power Attack special skill used: negative to accuracy with a bonus to damage dealt.]]

The Shadow Guards suddenly stop attacking the goblins and are sucked into Emural. Emural's shadows and dark presence are disappearing into his dark cloak as well as the mask. One word could be heard during this transformation. "Lionheart."
Bane takes off the dark cloak and unsheathes Aldorn. "It's time we finished this battle. Riservin." Aldorn transforms into a sword similar to Aldorn but with a strange device in the middle of it. "Someone blast me with some sort of energy or magic. It's time we end this now before things become complicated."

Silentium and Fides reacted to the Warg attack by backing up to the caravan to minimize side exposure and avoid flanking attacks, working together to both protect and attack simultaneously. Fides' lance was a difficult weapon to use in holding a line, but he couldn't use his mobility to fight Wargs; they'd run him down and find a way to trip him. The pair of knights found their kill count increasing at an alarming rate as the Wargs rushed them, but along with kills came exhaustion. Both hoped the words Bane just spoke about ending the battle now were true; they were prepared for a long, drawn-out battle, but this one's unfavorable numbers made it akin to sprinting an entire marathon.

Asha notices the Troll bending over to cover his belly; she also notices that although its back is literally harder than stone, its body, hidden from the light of day, seems leathery and vulnerable to attack despite its thickness. She would be well advised to attack there.
The pack of wargs seemed endless as they lunged at the two knights, insatiable in their ferocity. The dwarf-engine thundered over and over again, forcing the dragons to keep their distance, while the halfling archers forced back the Giant Spiders and Nellie's earthquakes kept the goblins busy.
Archmage Lord Varius Paragonis looked over at Bane dubiously, but raised his palm and spoke a word in syllables not meant to be uttered by human mouths. Space and time seemed to bend in strange ways as a sphere of nothingness formed in the air, of no color and no shade, of no temperature or texture, of naught save that which could be described only as Nothing, exited a sigil that floated before the wizard and flew towards the mercenary.

Asha says, "Dwarves, I am going to reveal its body to you. Use your engines and strike there. That's the Troll's weak point." Asha goes in for a diving attack with both hands on her katana she swings up wards to knock the troll off center and off balance forcing him to reveal his body in order to right himself. With that she gives the dwarves the opening they need to bring the creature down.

As the Wargs kept coming, it became apparent that Silentium and Fides needed to adjust their attack pattern to be less tiring. Over the sounds of battle, nopony could hear their vocal exchange, but Fides began quickly shoving Warg corpses into a small ring around the pair while Silentium kept the charge distracted. It was extremely difficult to accomplish, especially in such a quick manner, but adrenaline was doing its work admirably. Both knights would be very sore tonight from shoving Warg corpses and generating them, but they hoped the new makeshift bunker would put the horrid dogs at a disadvantage as they would no longer be able to attack under Silentium's shield. The pair could focus their pole-based weapons in a favorable upward direction now, buying themselves what they hoped would be enough time until the wizards did something... while simultaneously remaining a very interesting spectacle for the Wargs to attack instead of the caravan as Fides periodically popped up to shove a new corpse off the pile. The earth pony was about ready to lose his dinner.

Bane uses Riservin to absorb the sigil directly into it. The meter on the device begins to fill up with a non-colorful light. He aims Riservin at the goblins and the sword begins to transform. The sides of the blade is pulled apart, revealing the whole device. The tip of the blade comes apart in two pieces and turns 90 degrees from its original position to a vertical position. The rings from the grip transfer and fit into the open space between the device and the tip. Once the rings were gone, a trigger snaps out of the grip at where Bane's fingers are. The entire weapon turned from a sword to a sort of energy cannon.
"Successfully read on sigil. Transformation Complete. Charge Complete. Riservin is ready to fire. Preparing calculations." The separated tips narrow themselves to the point where there is a thin space between the metal. "Everyone, get out of the firing range now! Let's see how well these guys can go against a weapon like this."

The dwarves grinned savagely. "Aye, lassie! KHAZAD AI-MENU!" he roared, and the dwarf-engine thundered in answer with a flash of arcane light and a deafening BOOM. The troll had a moment of confusion as it tried to move and found its body not responding, which vanished into nothingness as its freshly empty body crumpled to the ground, crushing a few giant spiders.
The wall of corpses in front of the knights now allowed the wargs to gain the higher ground, leaping down from above as goblin-archers took advantage of the barrier to now start raining spears and arrows down on the pair from a position where they couldn't be easily reached.
The two wizards took one look at the weapon and lept out of the way, with Nellie sending shockwaves to shove a few more goblins and trolls into the line of fire. Both put on a pair of goggles they inexplicably procured from their robes.

Asha stats to help the knights by dive bombing the goblin archers. Her blade still empowered by the core and her strength augmented to match that of her bipedal with the Quadra-pedal strength of her other form. Her body bulks up only slightly, to reveal a more Pegasus like Bipedal form. She was out of targeting range for the weapon used by Bane. her flight goggles seaming to also act as light deflectors or sun-dark goggles.
[the tent of Asha's flight goggles is equal to that of the sundark goggles from D&D, to block out the potentially incoming bright light.]

Frustrated, the knights shoved the front of the wall down and went for mobility. Silentium rode on Fides' back to fend off any intercepting wargs with his halberd while Fides endeavored to take out goblin archers with his lance. Both agreed that they were of no use to the wizards and would certainly need to go back to Thalassana after this battle... if they survived it. They would only slow the group of heroes down.
